St Peters -8.5 over Loy Md
Both teams are at the bottom of the MAAC conference. But one team has a chance to move up.And its not Loy.Md.Lyr St pete won 6 MAAC games. All behind one of the top frosh in the nation in Clark.Lyr he was 5th in the nation scoring. As of yest he was 6th avg 25 pts a game. He's a 5'9 skinny ass kid that can shoot better then anyone in the country.
Just a pleasure to watch. He can drive, pass, shoot with great FG%.Teams have boxed him, doubled teamed him and yet he still gets his 25 a game.
But the newcomer on the team is the frodh gd Shane Nichols who was named MAAC rookie of the week with a big game vs St Francis. He is a lefty with a soft touch. You have Watkins another gd that can score and rebound.Bozovic is the 6'9 Yugo who is a role player for the peacocks.Coach says "Boz,you rebound ..and...give...the ..ball..to Keydren" I'll say it again"Boz...you ..rebound.........
This is a gd oriented team with kids that can fly.Clark,Hinnart,Devonish can all stick the 3.Ali is another 6'11 who is a role player.
Playing defense and rebounding are St petes problems.
But Loy Md has the same problem. They can't shoot, rebound and play defense. They took a big hit when there best player Jordan transferred. He was there scorer. Then Thomas transferred and he was their 2nd best player. They are 0-5 losing to Towson St,Coppin,UMBC,Iona and the little Dukies. They did play the lil dukies pretty good losing by 11.
Bell has emerged as there top player.Bossman,Allan and James are all avg.around 8 pts.
They are a terrible Ft team avg 50%.They turn the ball over almost 17-18 times a game. With the pressure of the St pete gds I see at least 18-20 To's tonite.
They do have a big kid in 6'11 Corrigan but he is only avg 3 bds a game.
Loy has matchup problems tonite with the speed of the peacocks.
Lyr St peter beat them 73-54 at Loy.Also 83-58 at Jersey city.
St Peter is better then lyr and Loy Md worse.

St peters wins by about the same score as lyr..75-50

St Peter -8.5.....8 boxes

Bosco....can't get a good read on the totals.Loy Md lyr avg about 58 pts a game.St pete on the road avg 70 pts.I know Loy ended its season losing to Iona,MC,Fair, and Iona scoring 44,49,45, and 39.And that was with Jordan and Thomas.

Also forgot to post Loy Md was one of the top "flip side" teams in college ats.
At home they were an amazing 1-8 ats and on the road as a dog 9-1.They were my "flip side " kings of the ats.
A lean to the under if its 139 but I'm passing.

Hey Box..........nice call

Hey Box..........nice call

Same ol.....same ol.........

Can depend on Loyola to make us a few $$$ when home and the points are single digit.
They seem to be getting some better looks this year but not enough of them....last year they would struggle to get off 45-50 shots a game....Yup ....they'll turn it over and continue to get beat on the boards.....I'm curious to see how many 3s they attempted.
St Petes sure kicked it up a notch in half 2 after that slow start. Shane Nichols leading all scorers with 23....

Again Nice Call !
