Kansas is not nearly as bad this year as they have been in years past. They are one of the more improved teams. I wouldn't normally pay as much attention to them, but my best friend's nephew plays for OL for them. He is a RS Frosh starting at left tackle. Kinda adds a little interest. I watched the Mizu and Nebraska games and to be truthful, they looked very good in both. Although Wittemore didn't throw for much more than 100 yds in the Mizu game, he did run for 2 td's... I think that there was less than 200 yds passing in the game by both teams combined. Very good defensive game. Kansas also played very well defensively against Nebraska. But with Wittemore on the bench, they could not muster much offensively. Frosh QB Adam Barman's 3 int's didn't help much either. I truly believe that if Wittemore was in there, they would have beaten Nebraska.
Kansas lost to A&M, Neb, and OK ST.... all without Wittemore.
In limited action, He threw for 2142 yds, 16 td's to only 4 int's and also rushed for 450 and 9 td's. There aren't many QB's in the country that can compair.
Kansas also falls into the Happy as Hell to be here role, and should play their hearts out. Whereas NC St falls into the dissappointing season role as they were expecting to do much better.
I can't say the Kansas will win, but with Wittemore in there, which he will be, I do believe that they will cover.
Typical over-rated team vs under-rated team with large spread.

Kansas

Personally I won't play a double digit favorite in the bowl games.
This Kansas team is not good at all. The teams they have beaten are UNLV, Wyoming, Jacksonville State, Missouri, Baylor and Iowa State. NC State's offense versus bowl teams averaged 6.1 yards a play. The only team to hold them under 20 was Clemson. In Conference Kansas did not play Texas or Oklahoma the top 2 teams in the conference. The only passing teams they played were Colorado and Wyoming. They gave up 419 and 328 yards to those teams. I know Wittemore did not play against A&M, Okie STate and Nebraska but then again he doesn't play defense either as 2 of those teams scored over 40 points. Becareful as a lot of the players from NC State are from Florida. If NC State has any motivation at all this game will not be close. That being said the emotions of their first bowl game and NC State being a letdown bowl I will stay off the game. Good luck to all on your plays.

not sure

how good kansas is.....not very,i suspect.....but,nc st seemed to play down to the level of their competition in several games against lesser lights(duke,nc ,g tech,uconn,wake).......

and whittemore is solid.....missou`s not a bad win for kansas......

i`m very leery of games in which people seem to think throwing jocks out on the field is enough to win handily......but,if nc st is blowing kansas out, whittemore should be good enough to slap at least 3 or 4 td`s up there....they averaged 30pts per game and 418 ypg despite whittemore missing substantial time....

was looking at over 63....just looking....

I was looking at the over myself but that 63 is a high number. I wish Kansas had been on TV as I have not seen them myself. Worried about time consuming drives by Kansas. That Missouri win does stick out. How is their team speed on offense? Good luck on your plays. Any info is helpful? Is he comparable to what Bollinger was for Wisconsin a year ago.

Kansas was 5-2 and had a big win over missouri and had lost in ot by three to Colorado on the road. Then whittemore got hurt in the first quarter of the k state game that they lost. They went on to lose the next four games until whittemore returned for the last game as a winner. Whittemore is a senior and the best signal caller Kansas has had in many many years. N.C. State is on an 0-8 ATS run as favorites of 6 or more points dating back to last season and just 1-6 ATS as favorites this year. They also lost thier last two games coming in to this game. Take the points!!!You will be glad you did!!
