Not taking anything away from Eagles and Pats but if these 2 teams end up in the super bowl it will be like watching the ground crack out here in july. There will be very little action and just not a fun game to watch from a action stand point unless you are a Philly or Pats fan. Infact the only way to get some action will to have panthers or colts go to the super bowl least that way you will see some type of action and the unknowen but a eagles pats match up will be very boring . Thoughts?

if panthers get in then pats or colts would make it a good game to watch because of the unknowen, but i know you are a pats fan but you can't tell me that if it is philly and pats that from a fans stand point it won't be boring. Any match up but that will do fine and if it is i bet the ratings are some of the lowest in last 10 years with those teams, and it is because of the style of philly, they are as boring as if the giants were to play in the super bowl not pats fault but the match up would suck total of 36 tops.

It's very hard to keep the same team from year to year unlike in the 80's and to get back to a super bowl and or playoffs things have to go perfect almost injuries kill you and even worse the 5 preseason games take there toll. 2 games is all a team needs to play maybe 3 tops but never going to happen since to own season tickets at most places have to buy the pre season also , owners have to have that extra cash so it is never going to change , owners bitch about guys getting hurt in pre season but they won't cut it back why? money and 2 extra games at home is damn good money so don't see any repeats in the near future IMO. To much player movement and pre season injuries.

I think it will be a close game, which is always exciting as opposed to last years yawner despite it being high scoring

suprising statement Eric given your baseball background

years ago i sat & watched the colts beat dallas, 16-13. if i could sit through that, i can sit through the pats vs. phil.

i think the ratings will be the highest with phil., which is one of the largest cities in the country vs. new england, which includes boston, another large city. this matchup will also attract viewers along the east coast all the way down to fla., where snow birds go to keep warm. that is a great portion of the u.s. population.

i think any matchup between the teams remaining in the playoffs will be worth watching. and to make sure that it will be fun, do as jack said, make a nice size bet on the game, followed by a few nice size drinks. then you won't care if the game is boring or not.

I really don't go over board on super bowl like a lot of people i try to find a few props unless i think it is a bad line had buc's last year for above avg:D I play more on hoops on sat and sun then sb so i want to see a college type high scoring game not a tight deff match up, every so often a good deff game is great but not for the sb i want up and down game. Now i like the hard hits but hate the 5-7 yard passing game i want the field to be stretched and 15+ yard passes. So sb does not really thrill me much and those 2 teams would make it boring to me like i said it is because philly style i would take pats and anyone except philly if philly makes it i would want to see colts which i think will be tough for colts to make it, payton will not have the 7-8 yards of cushion for wide outs like he has past 2 games pats will be on them like glue and think he will have at least 2 int's and pats win, same with philly think the will be to much for panthers tush making the bore of the century next to the colts balt/cowboys when i was 7 or 8 when a fg i think with no time left won the low scoring no yards game. next to that had to be miami 14-7 over my redskins when i was 12 or 11 and i love the skins even more then pittsburgh. those were the 2 sb's that i remember being the worst to watch skins td came on a pat fisher int return i think if i remember right.

Jack, you say that in general discussion just about anything
goes, which is fine with me, but S-Love, Mr. Hockey, and little
scott from king of dickland are making your site a joke, you
need to clean the crap out now.

Another gem from S-Love.
:142smilie :142smilie

You know its funny how sides get taken in the Gen forum.

Me and S-Love used to have some major issues. At times it was worse than with Mr Hockey.

Then one day I seen him talking to yyz and freeze and a few others, and I said to myself, you know this S-Love don't seem
half bad.

Now I just mostly laugh. But if he mentions Mr Hockey again and his 0-28 night I think I will hurl.

Hey Saltlicker. Any chance that you and me can just let bygones be bygones ?

I think it was HighRoller who started a nice make up thread where he said he was going to approach things differantly and he offered peace.

Next thing you know he was cursing like a madman and the thread was closed. LOL .....alot of laughs on that one.

Hell BobbyChips even said something nice about me in a thread, and even though I knew he was pulling a Pete Rose on me, it made me laugh. I have no more desire to pull his tongue out
of his head with a pair of vice grips.

Sometimes its one small thing like that, that can turn things around and next thing you know lifelong friends.

So what do you say Saltlicker ? Friends ?

If not then **** you bitch and the donkey you road in on.

sorry to disrupt your thread. Hope the leg is getting better and
you can get around ok for the Super Bowl.

Good luck on your plays.

PS - Next time you see Senor coming down the sidewalk, please let mango piss on his leg. And not a dry squirt either !
