I think I've done one of these in here a year or two ago but here goes....

Mine is something like this....

Sitcom- Seinfeld

Swingers (Any guy in their early-to-mid 20s that's had their hard broken should see and love this one)
Casino
Rounders
Dogma
Ferris Bueller's Day Off
Better Off Dead
Ocean's 11
Beautiful Girls (just saw this for the first time in Nov.- can really relate to it)

A few others, Godfather, Rain Man, Empire Strikes Back, Outside Providence, are all grouped in with those last three.

In no particular order:

The Ring -- this movie is just a thriller/horror masterpiece
Braveheart -- another masterpiece that really kickstarted the whole epic era that we're in with movies right now
American Pie -- other than the guys being seniors and still virgins, this movie is very realistic
Moulin Rouge -- Creative to an extreme. Unbelievable performances by entire cast.
Toy Story -- once again a true pioneer it its genre and a great creative story, too (Sad thing is that I don't have kids, yet!:tongue )
Heat
The Graduate
Reservoir Dogs
Seven
Sling Blade -- People lose sight of how good of a movie this is becuase Billy Bob Thorton's character is so perfectly acted.

Just misses: Who Framed Roger Rabbit; Wall Street; The Sting; The Lion King; Full Metal Jacket; Forrest Gump

It would be hard for me to stop at the Top 50!

---with chasing amy (a kevin smith film jus outside the 10, a close 11)

fav show was cupid w/jeremy piven, until they cancelled. then i started liking LUCKY, one year duration w/j corbett as a pro poker player...until FX decided in their infinite wisdom to cancel that too.

"the bunker"
blitz is in touch

blitz is in touch

with his sensitive side....a soulmate...

Breakfast at Tiffany's - Before it was a slacker alternative rock hit, B@T's had the most beautiful woman alive, Audrey Hepburn, dressed like Jackie O in Camelot. Oh ya, and Moon River too.

Cat on a Hot Tin Roof - Hot summer nights were made for Tennesse Williams. Liz Taylor before she was fat, Paul Newman before he made salad dressing.

His Girl Friday - Cary Grant and Rosalind Russell as ex-spouse newspaper reporters.

Lover Come Back - The best of the Doris Day/Rock Hudson movies. Doris gets drunk, Rock gets lucky, Tony Randall gets a moose. Beyond Classic.

My Fair Lady - Audrey Hepburn is her beautiful self and the music is to die for.

Pillow Talk - Doris Day is a virtuous decorator, Rock Hudson is a scamming composer, Tony Randall is a rich geek. It all works out fine. Same characters, same plot as Lover Come Back, doesn't matter to me.

Send Me No Flowers - Doris Day is married to hypochondriac Rock Hudson. Tony Randall is comedic sidekick.

The Shop Around the Corner - Jimmy Stewart in the original Ernst Lubitsch romantic comedy long beforeYou've Got Mail.

That Touch of Mink - Cary Grant, Doris Day and that classic automat scene.

The Thrill of It All - Doris Day, James Garner, and this one has the classic swimming pool full of suds scene.

Woman of the Year - Katherine Hepburn and Spencer Tracy in this sophisticated comedy. They were made for each other.....

doris day....rock hudson....kate hepburn....i`m breathless....
............................................................................................
the distant second ten....(seriously)

-hombre....newman`s best...richard boone should get some sort of posthumous award....what a role...

-the gambler(james caan`s best)

-the thing(original....the remake was also very good...)

-any old sherlock holmes movie with basil rathbone and nigel bruce as holmes and watson......

-the king of new york....(christopher walken....lawrence fishburne...david caruso....wesley snipes...the best movie nobody ever talks about)...ass-kickin` sound track...

-good fellas.....maybe the best of all time..

-platoon....berenger and dafoe were unreal...one of the great casting jobs ...

-any old hammer film with christopher lee and peter cushing...

-el cid...a great, little talked about heston flick....another movie nobody ever talks about....propping the dead "cid" up on his horse and sending him out as the invading moors cowered still makes the hair on the back on my neck stand up....

-the searchers......never cared for "the duke" as a kid....really grew to appreciate him as i got a little longer in the tooth...
