1. One flew over the cuckoo`s nest.

2.Shawshank Redemption.

3.Once upon a time in the west.

4.Midnight Cowboy.

5.Somebody up there likes me. ( The Rocky Graziano Story with Paul Newman).

6.Witness for the prosecution, ( Charles Laughton version).

7.To Kill a Mockingbird.

8.Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.

9.Dial "M" for Murder. (Ray Milland version).

!0 Dog Day Afternoon.

11. Judgement at Nuremburg.

Thought these were all great, not necessarily in any order.

As far as sitcoms, can`t choose between Cheers,Barney Miller,

Seinfeld, and the Honeymooners.

Lots of great ones in both categories, that I can`t think of at the moment.

Nolan, you prefer the original release or Redux version?
My Addidas, Tombstone was very entertaining. My favorite quote was, "I'll be your huckleberry".
Chanman, love Bruce Lee. Enter The Dragon is still my favorite martial arts film. Puts stop action crap to shame.
Special mention for David Mamet films like House of Games, Heist and Homicide.

AR182, I agree. Though I thought he wrote it but did not direct it. Not sure there however.
Just read about a remake of The Longest Yard which is another that hasn't been mentioned. Adam Sandler as the lead? I'm sorry, doubt it will touch the original.
Another one, which is more a guilty pleasure is I think They Live with Rody Piper. "I came here to kick ass and chew bubblegum and i'm all out of bubblegum." :D
