I read on an OU board that the Sooners are trying to get USC to play OU in the spot Air Force backed out of and USC is refusing. I guess they forgot that Scott said they would play anyone anywhere - apparently Colorado State is a more significant opponent.

Are you talking about this year?????

USC contacted Miami to play in BCA classic, they said NO, USC contacted MIchigan and volunteered to play @Michigan, they said NO, USC contacted OU to play in BCA classic, they "stalled" but USC and OU were talking about and I think they agree to have a home and home series in near future. Well..............

USC got tired of waiting and V-Tech stepped up to the plate and said they would play USC. Remember, USC only had 3 OOC games scheduled so they needed one more.

Now USC is playing.........

@ V-Tech -BCS- (added this year)
@BYU
Colorado St. (added this year)
ND

"FACT"
OU, Miami, and Michigan could have played USC and could have had CSU or V-Techs spot. All 3 said no. Remember, USC contacted all 3 supposedly "big time" schools, and all 3 refused. This was "prior" to USC scheduling V-Tech and CSU. PRIOR!

So what is USC suppose to do? Wait? USC needed to add 2 more OOC opponents, and V-Tech and CSU are both quality programs that "stepped" up to the plate.

NOW YOU SAY OU WANTS TO PLAY USC THIS YEAR?

ARE COLLEGE TEAMS ALLOWED TO PLAY 5 OOC GAMES???? NO

Why is OU contacting USC after USC had their 4 OOC opponents scheduled? Is USC suppose to tell BYU or CSU to screw off? NO. USC does opperate that way.

Do your research next time Sun Tzu before posting.

Think you need to take back your last statement, you been mislead by SUN TZU, and I guess he has been mislead by OU fans. Go to the OU message board and you will see that OU fans are obsessing over USC. I counted 3-4 threads just talking about USC (not about scheduling USC either).

What a joke?? USC will play anyone give me a break. I guess USC knows if they play OU that's a guaranteed LOSS. They are too use to playing their EASY ASS PAC 10 teams. Dont worry USC will lose a game like they always do. Hey Scott give me a stat or cut and paste one for us. When is the last time USC went UNDEAFEATED. Or have they. probably in the 50's. :moon:

WHY ARE YOU GUYS SO DENSE?????

USC contacted OU prior to scheduling Colorado St. and V-Tech. USC only had 2 OOC games scheduled for next year. USC NEEDED TO GET 2 MORE OOC GAMES. UNDERSTAND THAT????

USC wanted Miami, really bad, Miami wants no part of USC. Then USC wanted Michigan, even volunteered to play @ Michigan, they said NO WAY. USC has been in contact with OU (fact) and wanted to play OU this year. REMEMBER, USC NEEDS TO ADD 2 OOC GAMES!!!!!! OU would not give an immediate answer to play this year (sorta saying no) and kept delaying. Well USC does not want to play division 2 opponents (like LSU this year). Remember LSU had to add 2 games this year because 2 teams cancelled on them. USC "sorta" reached I guess an oral agreement to play OU in the future, home and away series. USC wanted OU this coming season but OU delayed.

REMEMBER, USC needs to add 2 OOC opponents, so USC was upset with OU delaying (and remember OU wanted to get out of playing UCLA this last season (saying it was too tough), so USC scheduled Colorado St. (a good program). NOW USC HAS 1 MORE OOC GAME LEFT TO SCHEDULE!!!!!!!!!!!

So now USC still trying to find 1 more game, and USC wants to play in the BCA classic. V-Tech stepped to the plate and USC is happy to play them. V-Tech is a good program.

Now USC has all 4 OOC opponents lined up. Very good OOC schedule with no "easy" opponents.
@V-Tech BCA classic
@BYU
Colorado St.
ND (rival)

After USC sets up all 4 OOC opponents, OU now wants to play USC this year? Does that make sense to you? Then you guys say USC is backing out, how? Is USC suppose to cancel out an agreement with BYU or CSU to play OU who had there chance to play USC??? Can you guys comprehend this? :shrug:

REMEMBER, everything i just typed is a fact, it indeed happened. So how hard is this for you to understand? :confused:

i read that LSU challenged them as well next season, but USC backed down because of 'prior' engagments with Colorado St. I guess they didn't want too upset USC fans from such a big rival.....

I think your wrong on that. LSU contacted and scheduled series with ASU and currently is talking with Oregon St. Oregon St. might go play one game at LSU. I HAVE NEVER HEARD/READ ABOUT LSU EVER CONTACTING USC If your right, congrats to them, LSU does not play tough OOC schedules. ASU is a step up and Oregon St. So I am glad to see them playing tougher opponents. I highly think you misread the article. If LSU contacted USC or USC contacted LSU, i would have known about it. Whenever USC talks to a school about scheduling it is made known public either through prem. message boards and/or local papers. USC has not been contacted by LSU. So please show me the article you read and I gladly will apologize for saying you are wrong

I am also am not 100% sure USC is playing Colorado St. in 2005. USC schedule has a TBA and no CSU but it has updated CSU on the 2004 schedule. It might just be a 1 game deal not a series.

Lastly, if a major program asks USC to play after they just "signed' an agreement to play another school, it is not running away from them or dodging them. USE YOUR COMMON SENSE!!!! MAYBE, JUST MAYBE THAT MAJOR PROGRAM SHOULD HAVE ASKED USC TO PLAY PRIOR TO USC AGREEING TO PLAY ANOTHER SCHOOL??? Think about that.

I also want to apologize for calling you people dense in my previous post but I think your replies warrented it.

Well your going to have to trust me, because USC talks with all these schools was MONTHS AGO. I am not going to go take time to reasearch it and prove you guys wrong again. If you do not accept what I am saying about my program, fine. However, I have not been wrong about USC, even in my guesses.

FRED DAVIS (i was told I was wrong) I was told it was 99% sure Davis to OSU. I said no way, 50%, and said Davis has given Carroll a verbal, will he stick with it. I WAS RIGHT even when people said i was 100% wrong.

I also told everyone there was a 5star recruit bomb that might de-commit from major program and shock the recruiting year. I told you I "guessed" it was the #1 RB in the nation, Peterson who committed to OU. Well it turned out my "guess" was right. I was told no way Peterson was 100% commit to OU

Peterson is still committed to OU, but he is def. talking to USC (calls) and USC is def. still recruiting him. DO I think he comes to USC? Prob. not, but you never know. Now when i posted this, posters bashed me (similar to davis) and I was told my info is garbage and I have no idea what I am talking about. Well again, I make those posters look foolish. One of them I know of is BBK. But me proving him wrong is the norm so who cares. Others also were not sold on what I said. I do have credibility, so take it for what it is worth. Also my analysis on USC football games this year posted on madjacks has been pretty much dead on (i was bashed on that too). I challenge you to find something I said (not opinion) that turned out to be wrong. Believe me or not, thats your choice.

at the end of the article.....

To the uninformed individual claiming LSU is afraid to play USC, I'd like to make two points. When LSU went to L.A. in the mid-'80s and destroyed the Trojans, USC removed us from their schedule. Last month after Virginia Tech backed out of their 2004 game with LSU, Skip Bertman contacted USC, Oklahoma, and Nebraska looking to fill the void. All three said "No thanks." Someone's afraid, but its not LSU.

Actually Peterson visited Texas AM last weekend and has called Mack Brown about coming to UT this weekend. By all accounts he is still very much going to OU and simply getting some cold feet, but per his mother he is not going out of state anywhere but OU.

No offense Scott but when every post of yours claims you know something with no back up, you have yet to post anything negative about USC, and any post about anything ends up with a "USC is great Carroll is God" diatribe, your say so isnt good enough. You sure dont seem to have any problem finding "proof" when it suits your desires.

Did you read the heading? That comment was from an "anonymous" e-mailer. You need a real source, otherwise its just spam. Thanks for posting link anyways.

"From another Trojan" CUT AND PASTE ABOUT THE LINK
I'm pretty sure that we will play almost anybody in a...
home & home series with at least a little notice. Look at our history. WHo can say we ducked them? If LSU wanted us to fill in there next SEP with a return game here in 2010 or so, I'm pretty sure we would turn that down. Also, we are playing our quota of 12 games now. Why would we circumvent that rule?

My guess is we may well see the Tigers next JAN on grass in a semi-neutral setting where we have had some recent success. We need to do the work to get there by going unbeaten. SO do they. FIght on!

Sun Tzu

Your right, i have not said much negativity about USC. The reason is there has not been much in the last 2 years. I hate the USC kicker, that is about it. Here is good example of negative turned positive at USC. Everything just seems to go right for USC. USC lost their LB coach, but Carroll promoted another good coach SETO, and signed KEN NORTON JR. to help coach LB's. HE WAS HIRED AS ASSISTANT COACH TO LB's. He has 5 superbowl rings and was a stud LB who has played under CARROLL COACHED DEFENSE. Thats pretty amazing to get a quality guy (despite ex-bruin) to be just your assistant LB coach. Low quality status. Norton Jr. will be a monster recruiter (like USC needs to add anymore good recruiters).

Of course I find proof when it suits my desires. Why would I not? That comment of yours makes no sense. I find it funny nobody else here can find any proof to support any of their opinions. At least I have stuff to back up my opinion and make it somewhat factual.

Your right about Peterson and aggies. That be great for Texas A&M. That just supports my claim that Peterson was/is not 100% commit to OU.

bbk

BUSTED!!!! This just shows how completely pathetic Scott is. This just goes to show you how NOTHING Scott says is worth even looking at.

bbk (aka BIG BUCKS KAPUT - as in LOSING BIGGEST BET OF THE YEAR- MICHIGAN ROSE BOWL)

You should have paid attention to my analysis that USC was the obvious Rose Bowl winner. That would have been worth something to you!!!!!! :nono:

Peterson will not go to AM. He is 98% OU and 2% Texas. I think Texas could have stolen him if we had made some changes with the ofensive coaching staff. Evn 18 year old kids recognize complete ineptitude.
