4-1 friday. still trying to figure out how butler/uwgb went over after 46 1h pts.

already played these three:
* akron (-2.5) over buffalo
* oregon/ucla over 142
* auburn (-4.5) over lsu
also definitely playing this one no matter what the line:
*detroit (+anything) over wisconsin-milwaukee

*waiting to see if a better # becomes available on washington. line got hit from 5 down to 3.5. hoping it settles back around 4 or 4.5
*considering bowling green and marshall as well
*expecting to play the etsu/ut-chat game as well as the horizons

akron
*zips have had a very favorable schedule to close the season. have only played one game a week for the last 3 weeks. theyve been off since last sundays victory over kent. i think its important for two reasons: that win over their biggest rival gives akron a lot of confidence but it also gives them a full week to put the game behind them and not come out flat for a mid-week game. buffalo playing well, but look at the majority of the teams theyve beaten lately. a lot of mac bottom-feeders. almost 2/3rds of their winning streak has been against teams with records below .300. akron has been solid at home- with their last legitimate home loss being against bg in early january. ill wait to buy into the bulls revival.

auburn
*killingsworth back for the tigers which will help auburn a lot. but this is mainly a play against lsu. tigers traveling after their come-from-behind win the other night when they scored just 10 points in the 1h of their game vs ole miss. tigers responded with a furious rally in the final 10:00 for the comeback win, but now they travel and this is where i think the loss of lloreda really shows up. auburn capable of winning this convincingly.

detroit
*have no idea what the line is.......but im playing it regardless ;) give me perry watson and ANY points in the horizon tourney and ill grab em every time. its not often that detroit gets beat soundly...and thats what happened last meeting and in calihan no less. detroit allowed a season high 85 points to the panthers. that aint happenin again. it can be argued that embarrassing loss turned the titans season around. detroits defense has been amazing lately. during this ten game winning streak detroit is on, they have let up just 50.6 ppg. thats ridiculous- and thats what wins championships in the horizon league. panthers have really backed into the #1 seed in this horizon tourney, losing 3 of their L4 games. titans getting great contributions from a different player every game. warren is capable of carrying the load, but on friday it was jimmy twyman's 26 that carried 'em. detroit wins and plays for the horizon championship on tuesday.

I follow and respecct....but would really love to see why you think Akron has any shot tomorrow.

I really saw Buffalo as an easy road winner..

Actually, Akron has not had the week off. They were defeated at Marshall Wednesday night. I am leaning towards the Bulls in this one. If the Bulls can slow Tarver down, where will the points come from for the Zips?

I was impressed with the way this team never gave up against Miss St the other night, hope it wasn't just a of ESPN effort. Team is quick, athletic, tough on the boards and not afraid to run and gun. LSU seems to have run out of steam twards the end of the season. -4.5 looks good

GL with the rest of yor plays

Akron line now -1.5 +100 at Pinnacle, was on the fence with this one but the trio of GMan's write up, line movement in my favor and no juice pushed me over the edge.

Agree with you GMan, Buffalo's wins as of late are not all that impressive.

Buffalo was the only game I felt good about today! I'm gonna have to rethink this one now. Lately I've been rethinking my plays and going with others plays on here and I have been getting burned. But, if there is someone's plays here that I respect it is yours gman. I may have to just sit this one out! gl2u:D

GL, i actually wanted to play LSU on this one (can't back an auburn team that's won ONE ATS in their last 13....), didn't know killingsworth was coming back.....so makes it a NO play for me.

thanks for the info.

Detroit came out as a shockingly low 1 pt dog. Wow. I'm a big UDM fan, and this line just shocked the shit out of me.

glad i got that oregon over 142 last night. 2.5 point jump since midnight.

spang- youre right. brain cramp for me. still like akron to get it done.

winder- yep. definitely playing detroit

bombs- i cant say im too surprised by the line. i was expecting +2 or so. but perry watson and any points will suffice ;)

also gotta say im a little surprised at the east tennessee line. utc is pretty solid and i know they just met a week or so ago so revengers like this are always worth noting- but im not sure the fatigue factor is reflected in this line. utc game finished up damn near midnight last night and now coming back to play an uptempo team just ELEVEN hours later? ill pass on etsu for now, because i think utc could keep it close on emotion alone in the 1h but tired legs should show up in 2h

Here
I'm with you on this gman.

Played my system for a week and Lost 5 bills.

Don't know why I go through all the work when the winners are right in front of face.

Hope I can just get my action fix on your play.

Thanks again

Bus left campus to go to akron, alot of Bulls support. I'm riding the Bulls, we'll see what happens. Bulls sound good so far. Up 7-3 early.

Actually Akron played Marshall on Wednesday and lost by 10. They haven't been off for a week...

farrow:

spang corrected me on that. not sure how i had that brain freeze. nonetheless- zips schedule has been favorable coming down the stretch. not a lot of travel and good rest time with mac tourney coming. and im glad the zips got that 'flat' performance out of the way. still feel akron is definitely the better team.

Hey G, What do you think of UT Chatanooga today..? The Mocs have far more offensive firepower than Davidson.. They have the size and atheletes to compete as well... Although past meetings have been dominated by ETSU, its always tough to go 3-0 vs a solid club..
