raymond,

i agree with you that iran should have been first.

i finally learned the last few weeks that it doesn't pay to debate anybody here because you're not going to change their view, especially some of the newer posters.

LOL

Like when you tried to "debate" me by quoting the Woodward book and got bitch slapped by me quoting the same book?

tossing salads,

listen, schmuck. you didn't bitch slap anybody.

it's just that i didn't care to debate you & am tired of talking about the same things over & over.

nothing would be accomplished.

you are the first poster on this board that i can honestly say that i don't like.

so this will be the last time that i answer any of your posts.

In a thread entitled an apology to bush supporters, you were indeed bitchslapped. You made an attempt to say that I obviously had not read the woodward book. You quoted the book and attempted to discredit my information. I intern provided several damning quotes from the same book that illustrated my point.
Anyone can do a search and see that this indeed did take place.
I'm sorry you don't like me anymore. I still like you. God Bless you and yours.

Sincerely
SCHMUCK

Not sure if you all seen the fire at Bio Labs in Conyers Georgia on the news. I have a friend that lives in conyers.

The clorox fire started at 0500 AM. It was said to be the biggest fire most firefighters had ever seen. They could not figure out a way to put this kind of fire out. Water just made it worse and they poured water on it for two days.

The smoke rose quickly and they had to evacuate people as the clorox cloud drifted east on the wind. Many people went to shelters and emergency rooms coughing etc. They evacuated neighborhoods and closed down I-20 East

If this had been a dirty bomb with radiation clouds, we are in big trouble my friends. There was no getting out of this smoke once it started drifting. It reached all the way to south carolina.

I can not imagine being told due to radiation you cannot ever return to your home.

Scary stuff to think about.

we are

we are

in big trouble regardless of who is president....i am still shocked that we can`t figure a way to check all those containers coming into our ports.....i know it`s an enormous task...but,it has to be done....

that scares me more than anything i can think of....if the terrorists get their hands on a crude nuclear weapon and can get it into some port city,it could make 9/11 look tame...

and that is why we are trying to get the europeans and the rest of the world to get their heads out of the sand and get involved...but,that seems to be a congenital european condition....two world wars in which they sat on their hands until it was to late......they`ll never learn...

n.korea is shipping missiles around the world....on unmarked vessels....this clown in pakistan is selling wmd know how...iran is gearing up for their first nuke.....and saddam definitely HAD biological and chemical weapons...and tried to build a reactor to produce nukes....

some countries have shown the ability to have these weapons....and control them....some obviously have no business even sniffing them....the chances of some of these anti-western islamist fanatics getting this technology and passing it on to some shadowy terrorist oraganization is the scariest thing in our world today....

i believe this administration has done as much as possible since 9/11 to protect us....they probably have done a little to much as far as the civil libertarians are concerned...but,the alternative to total vigilance is to scary to contemplate....

and i don`t blame clinton prior to 9/11....before something of that magnitude happens for the first time, everybody`s pants are down around their ankles....enough blame to go around...for bush,clinton,tenet,gorelick......congress....

we have been "safe" for almost 3 years....i can`t argue with that....

i think a terrorist attack before the election could sink bush.....it could in no way help him...if you think that, you aren`t thinking...look at the 9/11 hearings....an attack AFTER 9/11 would bring finger pointing and blaming the magnitude of which we`ve never seen......it would be staggering...

but,in all honesty.i`m not sure we can stay safe... politicians are unwilling to buck the minority vote and tighten up our borders....

our neighbors to the north and south don`t feel the threat as we do....therefore,it`s not in their best interests to make the borders more secure.....it`s actually not in their best interests...

we got big problems.....kerry or bush...it`s not gonna change much....unless kerry lets his guard down....and i don`t see that happening...

bush/kerry........kerry/bush......doesn`t matter.....

it`s honestly not the most important issue...the important thing, imo,is to shout down these ridiculous civil libertarians who cry that the sky is falling....that make ridiculous claims about how everyone`s rights are gonna be abridged....never mentioning the checks and balances that are set in place to protect the average joe...

yes,the hard working average american that keeps his nose clean and just wants his government to do it`s best to keep himself and his family safe....

not the rights of zach padilla and the shoe bomber....

AP Exclusive: New intelligence suggests terror operatives in U.S. for major attack
- CURT ANDERSON, Associated Press Writer
Tuesday, May 25, 2004

(05-25) 16:51 PDT WASHINGTON (AP) --

U.S. officials have obtained new intelligence deemed highly credible indicating al-Qaida or other terrorists are in the United States and preparing to launch a major attack this summer, The Associated Press has learned.

Of most concern, the official said, is that terrorists may possess and use a chemical, biological or radiological weapon that could cause much more damage and casualties than a conventional bomb.

The official declined to provide any specifics about the sources of the information but said there was an unusually high level of corroboration.

..................................................................

The way to stop this is to make it very clear that if the USA is hit by any kind of radiation , bio, nuc, or whatever.....

The following retalliation will be taken by the USA.
Stealth bombers dispatched to

1.Iran
2. France. Maybe they will start thinking better about us.
3. Syria
4. Iran - another one for good measure
5. Cuba
6. North Korea ....
7. Other tactical terrorist targets.

Maybe then these countries will help us search out the bad guys then and stop all this foolishness before its the end of the world as we know it.

all due respect, but,by saying "someday THEY`LL have all the oil THEY need".....i hope you are speaking of americans....because,WE need oil....

if we want to go to work everyday....if we want to hop on a plane.......if we want to heat our homes in winter....plastics, medicines, food items........

if there`s an oil production problem....there`s an economy problem...if there`s an economy problem in the u.s.,it affects much of the world...

until we come up with an alternative energy source, oil is indispensable....it may be the most important single reason for taking whatever draconian measures are necessary.... other than our own safety...

I can't help but feel that this boils down to the Bush h8ters. If he cured cancer, solved the Energy crisis & made coffee before 8am tomorrow ppl would b*tch. God help us if another attack takes place. Well WTF- it was the same during the previous administration. CNN (Clinton News Network) was his baby. Now it's FOX. Same shit different flies.

Here's my plan: Pull every American troop out of every country, region, area, nook and cranny of the entire earth. Shut out borders to immigration, build a big freaking wall along the canadian and mexican border. Sink every boat w/ illegals from cuba, haiti etc en route to the US. Suck every dollar of aid, every morsel of food, every package of medicine, every ounce of support to all countries across the globe.

Then lets phuking see what happens. Lets see how france does. Lets see how all of the ingrateful asssholes of this world do. There is a reason we as a country have a chip on our shoulder. IT's because we support half of the free world in one way or another, and they are all ingrates. Pull it all back, and then let people realize how much they need us.

And to all of the bush haters on here. You guys have made your point. Why must you post and repeat the same dribble every day. I think people forget what a crappy hand bush was dealt when he came into office. An economy that was going to go downhill due to previous administrations, and 9/11. Even if you don't agree with where we are in Iraq, you have to admit bush was dealt a shitty hand. I'm not sure how much better anyone else done.

And the last thing. I've got to agree with Raymond on this one. Your chance to voice you stance of Bush is during the elections. With terror knocking on the door and likely any day, I think it's time as Americans to stick together, regardless of who you support. This country is going to need to unite if we are going to deal with another 9/11, not bicker endlessly.

Well Im happy you all feal so much safer now. Not sure How showing these mug shots and saying they here chatter does that.
Seems like look what were doing for you, haveing press conferances.
Take NYC. Could we say they have had the two terror attacks that happen in USA. So then why is NYC still trying to get the federal money it's promised to help protect it from the next one.
To me that would be more important if I was a NY'er then the press confernaces around evey holiday. Or when Bushs poll number are in the tank.
Talk is cheep. Wheres the real action.

There is no way to stop terrorist attacks, period. Why can't you understand that? Our country is way too big, there are just too many ways people can inflict terror. We will never be able to stop it. If a terrorist were to pack his car full of explosives, drive into the lincoln tunnel, put it in park and detonate, how the hell are we supposed to stop that? What if he left afgh. and didn't talk to a single person before doing that. There is no way to be 100% safe. I do think we are much safer than before 9/11. I just think we are at the point where there isn't much more than can be done. What else would you do djv? Do you honestly think we can prevent every type of terror attack? It's impossible.

Oh yeah, and another thing. A bunch of you, all you do is bitch and moan, bush this, bush that. So tell me, what would YOU have done after 9/11. What would a democratic president have done post 9/11. And do you think everything would have been peachy keen right now had their been someone else in office? I highly doubt it
