Hey Guys......I play a lot of golf and love it, and was reading my Golf Digest last night with the "What's in the Bag" segment, and thought it might be interesting to see how many MadJackers are golfers, and what they carry in their bags??

I'll start......

Driver....Taylor Made 580 (9.5 deg loft) stiff stock shaft (this club is fun!!)
Fairway Wood......Nike 15 deg
Irons (2-PW).....1997 Top Flite Tour irons....it's time for a new set, but I still love these irons......best set of high end clubs Top Flite ever made
Wedges......Titleist Vokey 52 and 56 degrees
Putter.......Ping Zing

Driver: Callaway Big Bertha II 9 degree--Regular Flex
Woods: Taylor Made Burner 3 & 5 (very old)
Irons: 3-W Tommy Armour 845 V-31 (Evo Cavity)
Sand: Titleist DCI (from old set--still like it)
Gap: Generic 56 degree
Putter: TearDrop TD-15

I would like to drop my 3 iron and add either a 7 wood or another wedge. I will probably be looking to replace my wedges next, so I will probably go to 4 wedges in my bag instead of 3.

I am going to have to look at the driver againbut:

Driver: Taylor Made Firesole TI Something (9.5 Degree loft)
Fairway Woods: Tight Lies II (3,5)
Irons: Taylor Made FireSole Steel Rifle Shafts (I overswing)
Lop Wedge: 60 Degree (Forget who makes it, nothing special)
Putter: Odyssey
Balls: Nike and Top Flite II's (Don't ask me why?)

I have used the Callaway Balls, Talor Made Balls, ProV1, Titleist, and Top Flites. Being totally honest I have not seen anyone of those make a difference in my game. I overswing, average around 290-315 on drives with all of the typoes of balls. ANy comments.

The big difference I see with using a "tour ball" like a prov1 or callaway, nike etc... is the spin on approch shots. I can put a hell of alot more spin with a tour ball than distance ball like Top Flite, Pinnacle etc..

Usually play local courses in jersey but there is a great track called Crystal Springs in west Jersey that is worth the greens fee. They have 4 courses up there and they are all great.

For you metropolitan guys out there, look it up. i believe its in Hamburg New Jersey.

I know that all my equipment is old but I am a traditionalist. The thing that amazes me is people that I used to out drive 30-50 yards are now right with me with these new drivers!! I do have my eye on one of those new Taylor Made XD drivers, seeing a lot of them out there in tournaments I play, and they are HOT ;)
