GOES TO SHOW IT TAKES ALL TEAMS A WHILE TO ROLL, OREGON ST. TURNED TEMPLE DOWN TO PLAY THIS GAME. MAYBE THEY KNOW BEST TO CATCH A GOOD TEAM IS EARLY. TIGERS LOOK WEAK VS. AVG. BEAVER TEAM.
THIS MAKES SC WIN ALL THE MORE IMPRESSIVE...

Of all people to be complimenting USC! The problem is that you play in thr Pathetic 10 conference that does not how to play D. There is little or no football talent out west and what little talent there is goes to SC. The SEC is loaded with talent and every team has scrubs that could start in the pac-10. The SEC teams beat each other sensless and then have to face a fresh overrated pac-10 team for the national championship. Just remember something there is only 1 trophy! And one national champ and there not named after a condom!

I take it you did not watch your LSU tigers play tonight. Let me fill you in. The Oregon St. defense dominated your offense and it was AT LSU! BTW, Oregon St. plays in the Pac 10. Guess you did not watch USC hold V-Tech to 13pts @V-Tech. Guess you did not see CAL hold Air Force to 14pts @AF. You are hilarious. Remember, LSU had only 7pts with over 1min. remaining in the game. Then again, the LSU scrubs could start for Oregon St. Too bad LSU could not dominate OSU at LSU. Too bad LSU was not the best team on the field tonight. Too bad LSU needed the OSU kicker to mis 3, yes 3 PAT's for LSU to win tonight. Your team and conf.has been exposed tonight. If LSU played 1aa team and won by 40pts everyone including you be bragging you are the #1 team in the country!

Thanks for the laugh! :142lmao:

Game was played @LSU, Oregon St. was predicted to finish #4 in the Pac 10, LSU won by 1 pt with Oregon St. kicker missing 3 PAT's.

I guess LSU 's luck from last year has NOT worn out. Remember LSU barely beat UGA with UGA kicker missing 3 or was it 4 FIELD GOALS! Oh and let me remind you that LSU beat Ole Miss by 3 pts with the OLE MISS kicker missing 2 FG's including the game tying FG. But I guess you consider that domination! Just stating the facts! :)

HAVE A NICE WEEKEND AND BE HAPPY YOUR TEAM ESCAPED WITH A WIN! Don't think LSU could handle the elite Pac 10 teams even if played AT LSU!

THIS JUST IN..................

LSU wants to go back to playing 1aa opponents to open the season. Playing a quality opponent AT HOME is just too hard. They feel beating 1aa opponents by 50pts gets them more headlines.

Now we all know why the SEC as conf. plays crap 1a or even 1aa teams at home to open the season.

Oh wait, LSU still plays a 1aa opponent this season and a crap 1a OOC opponent. After they beat those 2 opponents you can all preach how powerful LSU and the SEC is!

exactly stsrl!
i could deal with fans who really like their team but to put down a region as being inferior because of game attendance or a conference as a whole being superior is absurd.

teams need time to develop before they become dominant is my message, but don't bash if your incompetent in football knowledge.

lsu is a team coming off the "nat title" just like usc was a week ago. neither team was impressive in either game. the hokies played the trojans very tough. the pass penalty on vt was pure horse $hat. if you watched the game you should agree regardless. usc looked like a one man team on offense for a while aka the president. no hate against usc just pointing out they were not great in their 1st outing either.

now to lsu. they looked flat on offense almost all night. i do not know who will be the qb later, but neither looked that great. the weather really hurt lsu on off, but it is hard to you use that excuse as both teams had to play in it. lsu has lost a lot of talent from last year. how they will match up with georgia will be interesting.

i will watch more games by each school before i form a true opinion of either school's team. however, the lsu fans should be sending gifts to the place kicker of oreg st. he single footedly kept them in the game. jmo

one HUGE difference is that LSU was on its home field...usc while playing on a "neutral" site was on the road, because that was definitely not a neutral atmosphere...can't compare the performances when one team is at home and the other is on the road

Most of you need a realiity check, one game doesn't make a season. Oregon State played good last night but of course played not to lose instead of to win which is typical of a Riley coached team. LSU will always have that one game where they don't look good especially at home. Last year that game was against the Gators @ home.

The field conditions clearly neutralized their speed advantages. Lets judge them on their next few opponents on what hopefully is a nice day in terms of weather.

read the posts, were talking about how sc was bashed for starting slow, lsu did the same. no one is saying last nite game defines a season for the tigers just that all teams start slow.
so if you bashed sc last week, lsu struggled even worse.

also beavers did choke last nite, but whats funny is you have the cubs in 1st today. is any professional team that chokes more?

Well lets see...

That makes OSU 0-12 all time vs. the SEC. Are you keeping up with the "facts" this year Scott?

Yea, LSU looked downright AWEFUL but they got the job done, so save your breath.

I personally won't bash USC for their performance against the Hokies as I didn't see one snap of the game.

Thats right 0-12! How are you going to argue that! The SEC has more speed, talent and fan base than the west. I went to 3 rosebowls. 2 UCLAplayed in and 1 stanford played in, UCLA in their home stadium had less than 10, 000 fans while the Badgers had the rest of the stadium. How do you explain that UCLA won't go to their home stadium to watch a rose bowl game. Hey Scott, when was the last time the USC sold out a home game. In the SEC football is a way of life. You west folks just don't get it. There is no D and no fans. Death Valley was sold out last night in a horrible thunderstorm, if USC had that weather there would be no one but friends and family at the game, the west coast fans are the most fairweather in the nation. USC fans were in hibernation until Pete Carrol came along and snatched what little talet is out west.

Hey STSTRL- loved the homecomming you game my Tigers last year in Tuscon, I was at the game. Very impressive showing by your squad. When you beat somebody come talk to me. And remember one thing gentleman; THERE IS ONLY ONE TROPHY. LSU TOOK IT HOME. YOU GUYS PROBABLY THINK THE PANTHERS ARE THE SPLIT NFL CHAMPS- THERES ONLY ONE TROPHY AND LSU'S GOT IT. I AGREE IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN SC V LSU BUT WE WOULD HAVE WON WITH OUR HOMEFIELD ADVANTAGE AND YOU SC FANS WOULD HAVE COMPLAINED THAT THE GAME WAS IN NEW ORLEANS. SC FANS REMEMBER LSU BEAT GA 2 TIMES WHILE GEORGIA WAS RANKED IN THE TOP 10! i DON'T CARE HOW THEY DID IT, THEY DIDI IT! Who in the Top -10 did USC beat last year? When you beat a quality opponent I will show you some respect, VA Tech and that weak a$$ Michigan team don't count.

Is there any good reason to start this type of bull$hit thread??? This thread makes no one any $$$$ whatsoever. I hope that Jack shuts this crap down and is much stricter this season than last with all of the LSU, USC, OU nonsense.
