Navy +6' always give Nrte Dame trouble..

Boston College-7...thought it would be closer to 10/12 points

La Tech- 10.... ???? thought it would be higher

Illinois +17 might be a play at home..if nothing else in a 6 point teaser

Tampa (4 now)
Toledo (some people ride their Philly Eagles, I'll ride the Rockets)
Purdue (Wisky is good on the ground, but they cant win this sprint)
Ariz St (LW's game took too much out of the trojans)
So Miss
Arkansas (I'll wait for the public to push the only undeafeted SEC home fav over 2tds -Ark is better than their record)

So Cal
Boise ST -19

I know that's a whole lotta chalk but this one has blow-out written all over it

I watched Tulsa @ UH game 2 week's ago . Timmy Chang had his way with them. UH had no problem throwing the ball (397 yp)
BSU is a offensive jaggurnaut
I think BSU wins by at least 30pts

Master - where do you get these lines so quickly on Sunday night? I know the virgin numbers are released in LV late Sunday afternoon, but they are never up till Monday morning on the off shore books, with the exception of Pinnacle (which has Louisville at 9.5 now)

I LOVE Louisville this week - could be a ML play for me as well; however sportsbok and carib are both not up yet - do most of the off shore books wait to see how the pub reacts to the openeing number before hanging them?

Baltimore Buc,

The lines are usually released after the final 4pm NFL game is completed on Sunday. Don BEst usually gets them up first but sometime the Stardust has them first.

Be VERY CAREFUL about putting any money on Arkansas. They had their #1 reciever Ousley demoted and then he quit the team, they had 2 starters break their ankle on Tuesday, Tubbs (starting GAURD) and a Safety plus the Freshman Tailback/Fullback Peyton Hillis who had 6 TDs in 4 games and was the short yardage back is out for the season with 3 broken bones in his neck. This Arkansas team is in some serious turmoil and Houston Nutt teams have been histoically horrible on the road. Arkansas is horrible against the run and has had trouble with teams that have a viable passing threat to go along with the run (SEE AUBURN). This could turn into a route.... Injuries, Horrid run D, Bad Road team. I would not lay a dime on Arkansas in this situation. I would not be suprised to see a score in the 42-21 range.

Other plays I like:

West Virginia -7
Boston College -6.5
Ohio State +1
Auburn -13
La Tech -10.5
Toledo -12.5

I watched Tulsa @ UH game 2 week's ago . Timmy Chang had his way with them.

Traveling to Hawaii is not an easy task...for any team. Lots of distractions.

Although Hawaii beat Tulsa 44-16, it was tied 13-13 at the half.

Both Tulsa and Boise are coming off a weeks rest, but....

Boise has Fresno on deck.

I realize its tempting to take Boise and difficult to take Tulsa, but I'd be careful here.

MC,

...taking a long hard look at L'ville this week; however, I don't like the immediate line movement droping it below DD already.... :cursin:

Also like: Ohio St., Tenn, Vandy, Tex A&M ('cept this is their 3rd straight on the road), Ark (at over 14), Ariz St, Wisky, Mizzou, Toledo, La Tech, N. Mex, and Rice.

Also think that Buddy is right about Boise.... With Fresno on deck, I'd be careful with them this week....

...those are just first impressions this morning. Thanks for all that you do around here and GL to you this week, buddy. :)

Today's top story ... USC's top receiver out for the year
Sophomore starting WR Steve Smith will likely miss the remainder of the regular season after breaking his left fibula during the second half of Saturday’s victory over Cal

ACC

Clemson
Senior starting LB Eric Sampson, who suffered a broken jaw during last Thursday night’s loss at Virginia, will have the jaw wired shut today, which will force him out of action for at least the next three games; Sophomore Tramaine Billie will take over the starting duties during Sampson’s absence

Maryland
Head coach Ralph Friedgen has not announced his decision regarding his starting QB for next weekend’s game versus N.C. State; Friedgen pulled sophomore starter Joel Statham in the third quarter of Saturday’s loss to Georgia Tech and replaced him with true freshman backup Jordan Steffy, who led the team to its only scoring drive

Big XII

Colorado
Junior starting QB Joel Klatt suffered a strained neck late in the first half and was unable to return during Saturday’s loss to Oklahoma State; Klatt is expected to miss practice time this week and is currently questionable for next weekend’s game versus Iowa State

Oklahoma
Senior starting CB Antonio Perkins may be sidelined for a couple of weeks after suffering a left knee injury during Saturday’s win over Texas; Results of an MRI have not yet been disclosed, but initial reports indicate that the injury is a strained MCL

Big East

Boston College
True freshman RB A.J. Brooks will remain the team’s starter for its game this weekend at Pittsburgh; Redshirt freshman RB L.V. Whitworth, who was able to return, in limited action, during the Oct. 2 game, is still nursing a knee injury and is not quite 100 percent … Redshirt freshman RB Andre Callender, who started the second game, but has been out with a groin injury, could return to action this weekend

C-USA

Southern Miss
Junior starting QB Dustin Almond, who injured his hamstring while scoring a late fourth-quarter touchdown in last Thursday’s overtime win over Houston, will miss two-to-three weeks as a result of the injury; Sophomore Damion Carter will get the start in Saturday’s game versus Alabama

Pac-10

California
Junior starting rover Donnie McCleskey, who led the team in tackles last season, returned to action this past weekend versus USC, and is expected to see more playing time in next Saturday’s home game against UCLA; McCleskey had been out of action since injuring his shoulder during fall camp … Senior starting WR Chase Lyman, who left the game in the first half after suffering a knee injury, underwent an MRI yesterday, and the results are expected to be announced sometime today

Washington
Junior QB Casey Paus, who started the Huskies’ first three games before losing the job to redshirt freshman Carl Bonnell, will regain the top spot as a result of Bonnell’s groin injury during Saturday’s victory over San Jose State; Bonnell is not expected to be able to practice until later this week, at the earliest

SEC

Ole Miss
Head coach David Cutcliffe indicated that sophomore RB Jamal Pittman would likely be reinstated to the team this week; Pittman had missed the team’s first six games after being suspended as a result of his arrest in Memphis this past summer

Mater- just an update on your Cal injury front: lyman's injury is a tear in his acl- tough loss for the senior and for the team, he obviously is done for the year

Virginia I have seen Florida State twice and Virginia is the far better team. This is the worst Florida State team I have seen in a while.

Arizona State + the points. USC is starting to see what its like to be defending champs. The schedule really favors the Sun Devils in this one.

Rutgers - the points Temple will not be able to keep up the scoring pace.

Louisville + points Miami offense is struggling and the Cardinals are athletic enough to keep it close.

Oregon State -points Washington is terrible and won't get enough of a pass rush to stop the Beavers.

Although this has nothing to do with wagering I have heard that there is a strong rumor floating around that we could see these moves this college football off season and the guy that I got this from is a big shot with one of the conferences. He said that Davis is the key and that if the Browns do not make the playoffs and Davis survives then very likely you could put Spurrier into the Texas slot but he feels that Spurrier would more than likely prefer to take over the Dolphins if given the opportunity, but usually these types of rumors turn out to be silly:

Charlie Weiss going to the Browns as HC, Butch Davis going from Cleveland to Texas as HC and Mack Brown going to either Illinois or back to UNC as HC. Norm Chow going to Washington as HC!
