I think Kerry's wife had some help in costing the jobs also, i really mean this i think her mouth cost Kerry lot of votes IMO, like i said i would of been behind who ever won because the house and sen really run the us, looks like they are the ones to watch because we don't have a great checks and balance system in place looks like it is tilted 1 way and IMO tat is not good. i honestly had a hard time working up a dislike for kerry....the campaign was negative and dirty all the way around.....

best of luck to kerry...i honestly believe the guy has the best interests of the country at heart.....just a different philosophy....i can`t hate him for that....

despite the fact that moore is fat and exaggerates too much. he's dead on in is exposing of much corruption in corporate america and in the political leaders owned by them.

it's too bad personality ruins what could otherwise be some worthwhile material. f-911 was full of exaggerations and obvious bias -BUT THE CONNECTIONS between the Bush family and the Saudi's (including BinLaden) is irrefutable. You can dismiss this stuff because it's from Moore - but it doesn't make it any less true.

Your right - the Dems should have better voices. Moore is not a help to the electability of any of them.

So what do we do about Halliburton right now? Cheney? Will the Republicans properly punish him if these no-bid contract charges are, as they appear to be, valid?

And that's just the tip of the iceberg - again - so much has been exposed - but because of who is doing the exposing, for some reason - it all gets dismissed.

well all government contracts have some degree of wasteful spending....and to be honest, i dont think Halliburton is extremely wasteful in this context....

not too sure how to handle no-bid contracts...especially in the context of war....and the way local governments handle bidded contracts -- these always create problems...issues of quality and bang for your buck are hard to differentiate among companies.....this on the local level....whole new ballgame on the national scene....

but its an issue we need to discuss and have discourse about...how do we handle these contracts....best to do such things out of the heat of political context as repetitive shallow-meaning buzzwords will not predominate

and how do we handle politicians with secondary financial interest incompanies whether it be Cheney or a senate minoirity leader's lobbying wife

lets fix these problems....but only way to do so is to first eliminate the rhetoric

The partisan politics are too strong. Halliburton will get away, Cheney will get away. If we let a Republican controlled Legislative, Executive, and soon to be Judial branch make the rulles and set the punishments, you know exactly what will happen.

I'm sure it's much the same if the Dems controlled everything - BUT it just happens to be that this administartion is closely tied to big energy and Saudi business, instead of just a ketchup company.

That seriously compromises the public.

OK, we'll just see how things play out. You've got to understand the frustrations and disenfranchisement of many though. Given the obvios connections between Bush and the Bin Ladens, Halliburton and Cheney, the backtracking of reasons for Iraq, the recent shifting of several billion $$ from reconstruction to oil pipeline maintenance and security.... I mean, it doesn't take an anti-government commie to be extremely cynical right now. People have every right to be outraged.

And this is just one issue, there are so many others.

But I will be quiet as I promised everyone I know I would after the election.

the supreme court appointments will be the huge prize in this election.........the democrats will make it difficult...but there is at least one latino judge that will be nominated....and if they raise to much of a fuss,they will be cutting their own throats in the latino community....
