Anyone have the line out on this one yet?

I definitely have a biased view, but am eager to see the line on this one. With the polls being so close and odds are Oklahoma and USC will win out, Auburn must not only win out but try to do so convincingly.

There is no doubt this game will be tough and Georgia will try to exploit Auburn's weak link, its secondary. David Greene's arm and Georgia's talented wide receiving corp will present difficulty for Auburn. However, Auburn's balanced offense should have success against Georgia's defense who will be forced to respect Cambell's arm, as opposed to stacking the box like they did last year to stop the Brown/Williams combo.

I have been impressed with Borges offensive prowess so far this year, and with Auburn having a week off to prepare and reenergize, I look for Auburn to win this one by 7+. I would love to see a line under 3 but expect it to be in the 3.5-5.5 range.

If Georgia played a lower scoring game against Kentucky I'd say they wre saving all energy for Auburn. However they blew out Kentucky and used all their scoring points up and have none left.

So with this rational GO AUBURN....

Auburn in a major blow out.

The real game comes with Alabama...

Game of the weekend and should be a classic. See a close game myself and therefore will probably take the 4.5 on offer. JMO.

not a fan, meaning homer of either, that said i hate GA, think they are pussy school who never (rarely) wins when they need it ... Auburn seems the better team this year and I hope they blow their sox off ... Greene has crushed me most everytime i trust his ass; Auburn at home by 7 i'd say ...

line ive seen is 4.5

now GA fans dont get too sensitive, Im only going off my 1-5 ats with GA in big games over last few years ... they've pussed out every time cept for LSU game this year; then turned around and laid HUGE egg vs TN, a team with mediocre coach, and didint bother to show up for a important game in regards of NC aspirations and SEC etc--that spoke volumes ... kinda like when they played lsu twice last year and florida when they handed them a coupla games too--anyway, Im sounding like RAZ hehe

good luck, who knows maybe GA will win if i dont bet on them

theyve been monster money burner with me tho

take care

Sheridan's Pick

Sheridan's Pick

USA Today columnist and SEC guru Danny Sheridan said last night he expects Auburn to win by 7 to 10 points.

Keep in mind this is the last time Carnell, Ronnie Brown, Campbell, Rogers and the rest of Auburn's talented seniors will play in Jordan-Hare Stadium, and there not gonna leave that feild with their heads hanging. :firing:

It should be evident from my avitar that I have nothing nice to say for either team.

Being an equally biased observer, I have to point out 4 tidbits I considered in pulling the trigger:

1) Going undefeated in the SEC these days isn't impossible, but certainly exceptional; especially in the SEC West

2) UGA, generally, plays to the quality of their opposition

3) You cant use the UT games as a barometer simply because UT is a Jekyl & Hyde team

4) UGA has enough weapons to avoid a blowout -even if UA is up by +14 going into the 4Q, I wont through away my ticket.

I expect a tight game.... 23-21, you insert the winner...

I believe Auburn will go down next week at Bama however the more and more I look at this game; the more I like Georgia. Five points is a lot of points especially for a Auburn team that has not really faced a tough opponent this year. Auburns biggest win was at Tenn and Tenn had 6 turnovers in that game. And now that win does not look that great. I am not huge Georgia fan however Greene should find enough holes to keep them within the number or come out with the outright win. And with Tenn qb out dont count out Tenn losing one of their last 2 games where Georgia can sneak in and play in the SEC champ game. Even if Georgia does not play in the SEC champ game if they win out they play in a new years bowl so expect an all out effort from them. This will be a very very very close game and in close games always take the points and 5 seems like alot.
Good luck on your play however you play it

Just a few observations and thoughts on the game. Not hard to tell who I am rooting for and also seems like a no brainer as to where to put your money. First off uga has had 1 bad game just like UA with the difference being UA got calls and GA did not. Without this loss does everyone feel as strongly about UA. Dawgs have better QB/Rec/Def. UA has better RB. Last year GA shut the two RBs down, Why is this year any different. What has changed that much in a year other than perception. Chances are not good a team finishes season undefeated Ga best of teams reamaining on their sched. Greene like 14-1 at visitors field. Greene all-time leader in wins in sec. Could go on and on with my georgia propaganda but I am sure most think this is a homer play already. It really is not as I very rarely bet on or against ga. This will be one of my largest bets of the year as I see the wrong team being favored. If they want to give me 5 points though I will take them.

Auburn may be my play of the year. . . I said ever since the LSU game that the Tigers are the best team this year and I haven't seen anything to change my mind.

Just my opinion wareagle, though I could argue that they have had an easier schedule than Georgia which is statistically fact. In the end however you can find numbers to prove just about anything. All my point of my post was is that outside of the loss to tenn (they were the better team that day, but do you believe they are the better team) what has changed in a year to make AU (sorry fluk) a 5 point fav. In my opinion(which is what my entire post is made up of) perception is not reality in this case because of the previously stated items. Even if AU does win then I still have 5 to play with, which is why I feel there is much value in this play. Make no mistake if I felt the value was with AU then my money would be there, in this case I feel its just the opposite.
Good Luck

Auburn is not to be messed with. UGA will have to play perfect to pull it off. If the deep ball does not help them out then they are done for. Auburn is solid as a rock.

I'm w/UGA12 - fluk U war eagle!, just kidding ...
pollack is a pederast for sure (just ask jesus quintana), but this is a top quality SEC squad (that but for the UT anomaly, would be a 3/4pt fav); you think AUB can really control a team like UGA...honestly???? come on....the last time AUB was been dominant was when Terry was running the show....

23-21 UGA!

I have yet to say anything about this game...But here goes...

I am absolutely :scared about this game for numerous reasons. The road team wins this game year after year. UGA is 5-1 last 6 trips to JH. David Greene has lost one road game in his career(not counting tea party in jax as a road game) These two statements like hammerin hank's BS angles that really will not have any outcome on this game. Two points that will have a HUGE impact on this game are as follows: Auburn offensive line is banged up and doing some major shuffling around with starting center about 70% and backup center out for the year. This is the most important part of a team IMO only behind the obvious QB. Another key point is on the other side of the ball. Auburn DC has benched starting corner Pitts because he continues to get burned...So who starts a walk on or a red shirt frosh...Still not decided but opposite the best corner in the SEC Rogers is a big "?" Dawgs will exploit this without a doubt. UGA receivers are some of the most talented in the SEC, so this matchup is def some look for. UGA should not gain over 120 yrds total on the ground so they will have to win this one through the air. UGA is BY FAR the best team auburn has played this year. Nobody else even comes close in talent, coaching, or leadership. For auburn to win the must be flawless in all facets of the game for 4 full quarters. This will be the Seniors last game at home for caddy, ronnie, jason camp, c rogers, rosegreen, ect...No doubt they will be as fired up as ever and ready to avenge the thumping they took in athens last year. Auburn has trailed once all year..something to look for if AU falls behind by 2 TDs how will the offense respond when the D can pin their ears back and come after the QB. #3 vs #5 it doesnt get any better than this ladies. This side will be a no play for me with a slight lean to the dawgs and a play on the under the total. Should be a hell of a ballgame and an instant classic...Too bad i am leaving to travel through the Philipines and Thailand from this thurs till next weekend :cursin: :sadwave: :cursin: :sadwave:

Very good post Wareagle.

The points you brought up about the the injuries at center and shake-up in secondary are two things that do have me concerned. If I could provide a bit of comfort here:

Ingle was helped tremendously with a week off and hopefully will be ready to go. However, if he goes down again they will move Danny Lindsey (started at center last year) over to center and put someone else at gaurd. We do have a some depth there, and hopefully won't be lose too much.

The secondary is a concern with Chizik opening up the other corner position after being displeased with Pitts' performance against Ole Miss. Its worth noting however, that Chizik has produced a great defensive scheme all year without any big name guys to work with. Yes, Georgia's passing attack will be the best they have faced thusfar. However, Chizik has had 2 weeks to prepare for it and I don't think we are the only ones who realize this will be Georgia's modus operendi for Saturday's game. I expect to see Rogers to be left man on one side and whoever is at the other corner to receive over the top help from Junior Rosegreen. Will Chizik's two week of preperation translate into success on Saturday? .....That's why they play the game.

The first 5:00 will be extremely critical for the Tigers. They have been a team that have had great starts in big games. Two weeks ago against Ole mISS, Auburn experienced its first sluggish start and really took a while to get going. Against a team like Georgia, it will more than likely be too late if it takes them that long to get into rhythm.

The more I think about this game, its hard to take Auburn over 3. I personally think we will be able to win by 7+ but recognize I may have a bit of emotion prohibiting me from making a proper analysis. One thing is for sure, it will be one crazy atmosphere here on Saturday, and one well hell of a football game.
