Only One,

I coat-tailed you since the first game and you started off on that tough drought and I got wiped out of $$. Now you are up 16.7 units since then!!! Ouch. I was waiting to get some more $ and I was going to tail you again since NBA is definately not my game but it looks like I have missed my wave of opportunity.

Good luck

Fabulous,

Be careful tailing anyone. Very rarely does that work out unless you are tailing a true professional handicapper. No offense to THE ONLY ONE, but he is not a true professional handicapper.

On Coattailing

On Coattailing

Maybe ONLY ONE is not a professional, but he is good at what he does. Very rarely did I see him have a losing month. I think he knows that people follow him, and won't post unless he is confident. I think Fabulous messed up by putting up too much of his bankroll to start off with. Basketball is a marathon, and not a race. You have to bet in proportion each game so you have enough for the dry spells. ONLY ONE will be up by the end of the month. Just my take.

qualities of a true professional handicapper...imo

in no particular order

1. non team biased
2. able to follow money management princicples without wavering
3. does not get emotional about wins or losses
4. one of the 1% that can do it for a living
5. extremely hard work ethic

hmmm...can't say I have any...that's why I am a gambling Lumpa

Any time you extinguish all of the money you can afford to gamble in a week or so, you have money management problems. That said, I'm sure THE ONLY ONE would state that he is not a professional handicapper. Following the folks who post in online forums is O.K. from time to time when you want some extra action, but it's generally a bad idea to try it for an extended period of time. Of course there are exceptions to this.

Your right Nick, I'm not a professional handicapper, I'm a professional NBA handicapper and have been successful my entire career.

Nick has basically been able to say whatever he wants to anyone at anytime here and usually comes off cocky when he does it. I say ban him for a day but I really cant see that happening. I mean who the hell is Nick Douglas to come into ones thread and start spewing garbage about how ONLYONE is not a professional. Nick, no one cares what you think, have you yet to realize that

Nick wasn't bashing, IMO.

One of the mods asked me about banning him for 1 day last night and I read and reread the post and it's not bashing. That's how I read it anyway. he did say "no offense".

Let's just move on, please.

Thanks to everybody for keeping the forums clean the last few days and, Rex, NOBODY is immune to the new rules we plan on keeping in the forums for now on.

Sorry I moved your thread last night. It did give me a chuckle but it just wasn't good for the forum as far as handicapping goes and I'm sure you agree.

It was funny though :D

I didnt start off betting too high, I only used $25/unit but The Only One lost all of his plays his first 4 days straight and that wiped me out. I thought I was putting enought $ in but that wasnt the case. I plan on reloading today or tomorrow and I have confidence that he will come back strong and win for the season, last year he was +100 units. Good luck
