$2,200 to win $2000

(bhb and betmill)

This will be my biggest ncaa hoops bet so far this season. I think OSU clearly is the better team and Texas is over-rated IMO. They are a team that often lets people down. I also think Alrdidge will be out and don't think Texas will be sharp with all the distractions. OSU plays well @Texas and wins by at least 5pts tonight. Not really a hoops capper but taking my winnings from NFL teaser this weekend and letting it ride!

On a side note, thumbs down to beverly hills bookie for cutting my wagering limits.

I also have Okie State -1' Won with Texas against Neb, I see this as a value Play on a good Team against a good Team at a tough Place to Play. Just think State will Win it in the end.

Looks like I just pissed away my profits from this weekend. I got lucky with the Pitt win so maybe my luck ran out with OSU.

No idea why OSU passes the ball so much when they "all" can't catch/handle the ball. I understand you sometimes shoot bad and have an off night (unlucky me), but no reason to fumble the ball repeatedly. Pathetic. These guys can't even handle a basketball. Like they are afraid out there.

Texas super hot shooting and OSU super cold shooting. Foul trouble OSU and bad ball handling. Not good for me.

Good news is that was just one half and I still have a half to go! Anything can happen! :)

I don't do well in college hoops with my big bets. I always fall trap into thinking or taking the better team pk, -1, or -2 on the road to an inferior team or slightly inferior team. And I often get burned! Yet I will continue to do it!

Tonight I think was an abnormality. OSU was off shooting, foul trouble, couldn't catch a ball, Texas super hot in 1h but then played bad 2h for 1/2, etc. Things didn't go normal and I got burned. Oh well. Still lost 8% of my betting account on that bet! :cursin:

What pisses me off further was if OSU was winning or looked like they were going to win, I was gonna put half (1k) on the UTAH JAZZ ML. Jazz ended up winning. That sucked.

Scott that is VERY normal in college hoops.

OSU shot below their average, Texas shot way above their average (1h), OSU couldn't catch a ball and was fumbling it all night (absurd), OSU got in huge foul trouble and with multiple players. That is not a normal game. This might happen to teams often in hoops but that doesn't make it normal.

When you handicap a game, you hope for things to be played out normal. For example I don't think you handicap expecting your team to make 5 straight 3's or the other teams best players to foul out, or the other team to shoot 30% from free throw line etc. Abnormal things can happen and that is why its called gambling. I lost.

OSU and Texas are quality hoop programs so the chances of things playing out normal are quite high. I expected a close game with OSU leading by 3-7 pts all night and winning by 5 at end. Obviously didn't happen.

Just take away the OSU players fouling out early in 2h and I think the game would have been decided in the last minute. That is why I never will bet more than 10% of my account on any hoops game. Too many factors you can't control. And I don't use money management but that would obviously be the best solution! :)

Because I have gambling problem! :scared

Maybe because I needed the action! :)

In all seriousness, I should or would have won $3,500 on my NFL teaser +$750 in bonuses, so thats $4,100 total (match play). Stupid Steelers made the game against Jets closer than it should have, special teams TD and INT for TD and I hedged and then middled the Eagles game and I ended up with $2000 profit + bonus $$. Now if Jets won and Eagles won, I would broke even. Since Steelers won, I won 2k. So i got lucky with Jets missing 2 kicks.

So why not push my luck further and bet 2k on a game I really liked. Unfortunately I lost.

Texas played better than I expected, OSU played worse. What I really was disapointed in was the poor ball handling of OSU (experienced team) AND the freaking foul trouble they were in. SUCKED! Can't cap that or expect that to happen but thats prob. why you should use money management. I should have won that game if things played out normal.

It was not like I forced myself to find a game to bet 2k or did it on a whim. I really liked OSU. I had OSU as a play before the Texas player ruled out. So him being out made even more confident. I fall victim to betting teams on the road when favored by pk-2pts. Kills me all the time.
