Any opinons of these restaurants?
I was thinking of taking my girl to one of these places. Who has been and how was the food, services?

That being said, there is always (generally) consistency with a chain, which some people like.

I went to Ruth Chris' in Tampa, not bad, but nothing special, really. Service good, pricing $$, considering.

Morton's: One of the better steaks I've had, service excellent, however extremely $$$.

I enjoy Ruth's Chris, every one I have been to the wait staff has been EXTREMELY polite and courteous to our needs and pay that extra attention to you.
always nice having 2 waiters per table.

i would recommend the site's favorite seafood joint, legal's seafoods at www.legalseafoods.com
but they are just a high end red lobster, can't say their wait staff rises above and beyond like a nice @ss steakhouse, but the food is delicious (and pricey)

Joe's crab shack? is that the one in station square in Pittsburgh? was there once and had a mediocre experience as well. nothing special, but nothin negative.

I too prefer the single local shops to the large chains tho for special meals. what area of the states are you looking at here?
i been all over the place, so i might get lucky and have been to one near ya.

I can only say good things about Ruths Chris.

Havnt been to the other two.

Agree with Applebees and Fridays.... they stink and service is a disaster. Not sure how they stay in business.

Joe Crab Shack had a bad experience with bad food . They do a dance in there about every 15 min though. The whole place gets to dancing in the middle of eating.

As far as chains go.

Houston's and the Palm are bullet proof for me.

Bad: Chillis, Bahama Breez, Fridays and Bennigans.

I think Benningans went out of business though, it must of been the Blues Busters! :em71:

Applebee's And Friday's are by far the worst places to go, unless all you want to do is drink at the bar. The food is crap and the service just absolutely suck. And I've been to quite a few in the DFW area...

I like to go to OTB, On The Border.

Steve...OTB is great for a chain Mexican food restaurant. Ever go to Joe T Garcia's downtown Ft. Worth? Can't beat it. Simply the best IMO. Also a big fan of Razzoo's. You guys ever get to Fort Worth, look these two places up. JP

Chopsticks, Ruth Chris is a high end steakhouse that is as fine as they come. Amazing food, definatley try their Filet with their shoestring fries, amazing...What makes them a notch better than everyone IMO is that the meat at every one of the restaurants is delivered from the same place, they ahve their own ranch where they specially raise their cows (or however it is termed) and all the meat in all their restaurants is brought from their...Also they bring your plate heated so your meal is warm throughout the whole time your eating...I don't know, I like Morton's, but in San Diego Ruth Chris is def. the best, im sure their reputation is the same in other places...oh yea, AMAZING chop salad as well

I kind of like Friday's. That Jack Daniel's sauce is awesome! We have a little place here with absolutely no ambience that is probably my favorite. The food is great, the service is good, and they give you your soft drinks in these HUGE glasses so you're not constantly needing refills.
