On the course!
In today's mail, I got one of the many offers I receive from offshore books. It had a "free $50" for signing up.

I figured wtf, and signed up. When you read the fine print, it states:

"Minimum withdrawl is $1,000"

:mj07:

You can't wager parlays, either. I wonder if anyone has ever cashed out on this offer?

I've recieved the same one. I was thinking the same thing with the parlays, as that would be the easiest road to hit the 1k.

yeah, but how about we have 50 people try the same thing..... post a play at a time until you lose one, and see how many of the 50 would have cashed in at over 1000.... i practically guarantee at least one person would make it, and a one in 50 chance at FREE $1000 is not that bad of a deal. would be different if they required some sort of a deposit for this offer.

The odds would be 1 in 32 of doubling up to over $1000, assuming no handicapping knowledge at all.

First game, 16 people take Team A, 16 take Team B. Half lose and are out. Second game 8 people take Team C, 8 take Team D, etc. etc.

If you do that you are guaranteed 1 person goes 5-0. But you can actually guarantee yourself a profit with this, if you really want to work hard for it.

(edited out the rest of it because I was confused)

Oh man, my bad, you don't have to deposit anything?? Holy cow... these guys are ripe for the picking then.

Open 32 accounts and do as above. One account ends up at $1600. No risk. Damn. Doesn't get much better than that!

You could divide that 32 ways and everybody then gets the free $50 they promised in the first place. So much for closing the loophole. Would be interesting to see if the eventual winner would send out payment to the other 31 people or be tempted to pocket the $1600 for themselves.

well, considering juice, not all the way to $1600, but still FREE money... nice way for 32 people in one area to fund a nice party that buys a lot of booze and snacks ;)

Good point on the juice. That cuts into it a lot. Laying -110 on each game, one person actually ends up with $1267.95. Still not half bad. And that keeps you under the $1500 max, and over the $1000 minimum.

You also have to roll it over 10X I believe I did the 5 in a row on this and I could not withdraw because of the roll over requirement, they said that I had to atleast make 15 wagers of 50 dollars to withdraw

I got it too.

20x rollover and the >1000and <1500 is all true.

I'm taking UAB over Depaul. One more win (21) and the Blazers should get an invite to dance.
