Anyone know of any good sites to do some designing for free. For example paste a few plants together and see how it looks? Also any good online sites to buy plants and trees cheap? Thanks, any other advice from experienced do-it-yourselfers would be appreciated.

Recommend that you have a PH balance test on the soil at your house before you get into any serious landscaping.

PH test will tell you which plants will do best in your yard. Then you can choose layout and colors.

A lot of ppl I know go out and spend too much money on plants that will never reach potential and its not something they have done wrong by planting it. It is just the soil.

find out where the landscapers get their trees from (should be a place out of town a few miles)

buy nursery trees there and do it yourself

i would also put in a putting green if you are a golfer -- the synthetic ones are awesome and play very realisticially

i woudl do it myself if i were you...for the best reward nothing like putting in some hard work and enjoying it pay off
