i finished day 2 report around 4pm yesterday. i then hit the sack for a nap and slept until 1030 pm. then we ordered room service (a bowl of chili and a fruit platter for me). they had a 1 hour 20 minute wait. sheese.

ordered 'meet the fockers' on ppv, watched that, ate my food and went back to sleep.

now it's about 6am and i have about 4 hours to wait before i head over to rio for the tourney. time is moving slow, folks. i fell like a 5 year old waiting for santa, just counting the minutes.

they played for 15 hours yesterday and got the field down to around 650 players. i guess the same will be today. i think the leader has around 130k which would really feel good but i'm just hoping to end today with 40k or so. i'd be damned pleased to be in that position.

i'll report back after i finish play today and i hope it's early tomorrow morning and i hope i'm still alive. alive in the tourney that is :)

my short term goal is to survive today and sunday and take it from there. i think all of monday players will be in the money?

i've been in this room for about 15 straight hours setting a new record for me as far as most time spent in my las vegas room in one stretch.

i'll be setting another record for my las vegas adventures after play today if i make it through the whole day. the record will be the longest amount of time without a drink while in vegas as i do not plan on drinking during my play. :mj14:

man, i'm bored. i was just going to tell what i was planning on wearing today :mj07:

wish me luck.

talk to you later.

Jack

From cardplayer website.

Couldn't hurt anything, Jackson?

There is a player wearing an oversized Elmo mask at one of the tables. This is no cheap Halloween mask, but a full-sized muppet-quality headpiece. Apparently, somebody asked for a ruling whether or not it was legal, and it was determined that as long as a player's face was visible, it would be allowed. Elmo's "mouth" is where the player looks out, and while there is a dark mesh, his face is still visible. So for the time being, the mask is being allowed. But if you've ever talked to someone who worked a theme park in costume (think Disneyland), it's not a pleasant experience for long periods of time. He'll probably get bored of the gimmick long before dinnertime.
