Should posts like this be permitted on the best handicapping site on the internet?

I won't comment as to sway the voting, I'll just vote.

here's the post:

Guys, I have a contact offshore that has very reliable information on games. He is part of the reason I did so well in NCAA hoops last year. He doesn't send me one very often, but when he does, I listen. And no, its no inlaw.

Play of the Century Atlanta Braves -160 Sosa
ANother Big play Atlanta Braves -1.5 +140 Sosa

I am serious as shit about this, and I am so serious that I will never post here again if Atlanta loses tomorrow, NEVER!

Hopefully Atlanta loses tomorrow and then he will just leave himself according to him.

I call bullchit on his info, but what makes it even worse is that both teams were still in tight games in about the 6th inning at the time of this post. How does he know what pitchers will be worked tonight and whatnot. What if someone gets hurt in the game tonight.

The right people know what these posts are all about. Most people that have been around the block won't fall for stuff like this.

BTW, its always a big favorite who they pick too, so they can act like they knew it all when it cashes which it will 70 percent of the time. They never go out on the limb with info on a dog or not a fairly sure thing.

Seems rather ridiculous post to me and I dont know why anyone would take any guidance from it. Then again...caveat emptor. But where do you draw the line? Do you want a post that says "my book says 95% of his action is on San Diego." Or how about if my coaching source at a Big 12 school tells me something. Folks he know me know it is legit, but if the average guy here wrote "I have Inside info" wouldnt you take issue with that?

A poll?

Maybe YOU should tell the guy no locks or guarantees...................

Did not know you needed help running your forum

Maybe you should send this topic to the dumpster

I think the smart CEO always asks his colleagues their opinion :)
And most CEO's dont need help running their companies. But the BEST ones always ask for it

Respectfully,

In gambling parlance, he has set a hook. It's done here all the time. ie: Outlaw lines, a friendly bookie or a contact who gives tips once in awhile, always reliable etc. These hooks draw alot of views and or replies. He has a 50-50 chance of success. His first post and he's drilled. Grouch Marx said "I wouldn't join a club that would allow someone like me to join."

myi personal feeling is if a jackazz posts something like this, the other members will quickly respond and warn any bettors relying on the info that it might be bs...as long as bettors are warned that the post could possibly be bs, then let them decide if the post is legit. If it is.. cool, if not, like SunTzu said...caveat emptor

It always has been in the past. Does this guy have a new :mj12: "offshore contact" besides the "inlaw"? :mj16:

Give me a freakin break! If the Braves lose, I guess we will see if he lives up to his promise to NEVER post here again.

Of course he should be banned! Jack did the right thing.

One thing pisses me off worse than these types of posts though.

It's when people come into another's thread and start name calling and criticizing their plays. This should be an automatic ban and not just a 24 hr ban IMHO.
