With the risk of asking a question that has been asked maybe a thousand times before, I was wondering the laws that surround online books and if it is technically illegal to deposit/withdraw money into an online book.
Does anyone know these laws that can help?

Thanks

i think it's a state to state thing but they aren't going after the guy that's making the bets. at least i haven't heard of such. and the books are operating where it's legal.

So far, there hasn?t been a clear ruling or legislation that can simply give a yes-or-no answer to the question ?Is online gambling legal?? Off-shore online casinos are considered legal, since they do not operate on American soil.

The situation may be complicated, but we, see many things that point out to a clearer gambling legal future. The gambling industry is very influential in the US. It contributes millions to political campaigns and employs hundreds of thousand of people. This influence, coupled with the significant legitimacy granted to land-based gambling operations can certainly be the driving force behind the legalization of online gambling. Nowadays, more and more legislators are in the US Congress and state legislatures are paying more attention to the issue.

We should also pay attention to the rapid growth of the online gambling across the globe. Many people in places such as Antigua and the Caribbean?s are being employed by the industry. That too should pressure the US Federal Government to revise its policy towards online gambling.
