Nov-Dec can be rainy a lot. Also the best time for the big waves tho.. right around xmas time we used to see some 30-40 footers up on the north shore. I'd say, if you go anytime between January and September you are gonna be fine.

Went to Lanai/Hawaii in October last year and it was beautiful. Even when it rained it was beautiful. Have to agree, any time of year is a great time to go.

Hawaii has seen a MAJOR boom in tourism- Since a lot of international destinations are under travel warnings a lot of people are going to Hawaii instead of venturing to europe or asia- I would contact hawaii tourism board as I have found a lot of the top places are selling out -- I have a few chef friends there and they are telling me they have not had days off in months (consecutive days off) due to business BOOMING--

Just an FYI- Not sure of my point here--

How long is that flight? Like 12 hours? The 3 1/2 to Vegas was more than enough for me. I cant believe they used to let you smoke on an airplane :mj07: We were talking about that on the way out. Talk about gagging!

and if you ARE a smoker, the only way to book is going thru Mexico... you can still smoke on international flights i think. (unless that changed in the last year)
