Gave poker a try one night -- tons of fish, but their aren't many players at all, and the stakes were so low I didn't really find it all that enjoyable.

I have no idea what type of player you are but this site seemed to be mostly beginners. Money is there to be won, but play 1/2 limit just wasn't for me.

As far as a book thought MVP has always been good to me. Like having them as an out.

Can someone explain to me what exactly this means. If I deposited $400, got the $200 free, how much do I need to play and how fast? Been thinking about using a book this year mostly because local is unreliable and you can't always get a hold of him before a game. Thought it would be a good idea to have a second option. Don't wager that much, just enough to keep it entertaining 3-5 games on a Sat and Sun, usually around $25-$50 per game.

To roll it over 6 times you'd have to bet that $200 amount 6 times, so a total of $1200, which you would do a lot quicker than you think. If you bet 4 games a week at $50 thats $200, so it would take you 6 weeks till you've rolled it over. And you'd still have to wait a couple more weeks to withdrawal, only if you wanted to.

I usually bet around 8 games per week, so I'd be done in a few weeks. I can't sit around and watch football on thursdays and fridays without having something on them, then about 5 or 6 games on the saturday, and maybe the sunday night NFL and Monday night game.

that is correct, sir, but that amount is rolled over sooner than you think. it goes fast.
