Lights out Lidge will never forget this day if the Astros dont win this thing.

Feel sorry for the guy.

Horrible pitch to Pujols and horrible walk to Edmonds.

Perhaps the biggest choke i have ever seen.

yes i had astos big tonite....im shocked they threw albert a strike...they come out and talk to lidge b4 pujols at bat...do they tell him nothing over the plate? they tell him sliders off the plate right? deal with sanders...walk albert if u have to.
i mean this guy is hands down the best hitter in mlb..if bonds were up that same spot, does he see a strrikle? i think not...horrible coaching or horrible pitching decision on lidges part.....either way the worst beat ive seen in a looong time......u dont let the best hitter in baseball up there with a chance to win the game BEAT YOU...i mean these guys are suppossed to be experts...theyve spent there whole lives playing or coaching baseball....im sitting there saying dont throw him a strike...am i that much smarter than these idiots...,.i know lidge is one of the best, but albert was 0-4 going into that atbat and he doesnt go 0-5 very often....wow, im still in shock...cards just won the whole series with 1-swing....

I agree with everything you say steel...and i feel for you...brutal lose...i did not have anything on this game, but i have a huge playoff wager on the stros,i hope they can hang in there, that was a crushing blow that might be hard to recover from.

Horrible beat, but I wouldn't hand STL the series just yet. Oswalt has been the man in the playoffs... I know I wouldn't want to face him down 3-2.

steel, ditto for me ... only bet on baseball all playoffs for single game and of course its brutal as can be ... the absoulte key IMO was Lidge being a woos and caving into to edmonds 1/13 lifetime w/o being able to get a single pitch in 5 near plate, pissing his shorts with AP on deck

sickening
