Didn't read all the posts, but I don't think anyone hit on this point.
The Eagles, at the moment, are not in a good spot to be thinking about playoffs. In 3 weeks, however, when TO's suspension ends, they'll know a lot more with key division games coming up against Dallas and NYG's.
If, and it's a big "IF", the Eagles have a chance at the playoffs, there's no way they'll release TO just to save the money, when there's a possibility they could be looking at him on the other sideline in a playoff game. They'll eat his salary for remainder of the regular season in that situation and nobody will get him for the playoffs.
Either way, trust me when I say that you do not want him. Everyone thinks that TO's a liability if you don't get him the ball enough, or he's not making enough money. That's not the deal with him completely. Yes, he pisses and moans about that stuff, but he seems to have a knack for always saying the wrong thing to teamates, and just in general, alienating everyone he comes in contact with. Pay him all the money in the world, and throw him the ball on every play. That's not gonna solve his problem.
