TO signed a contract before last year...

He should have played his ass off (less than one year with his contract and he's pissin' and moaning), and he probably would have gotten rewarded.

A contract is a contract, Philly was certain to honor their part, but TO, and his no-brain agent, deceided he was bigger than his team, teammates, and the league, above the law and the rules, above and sense of propriety.

What an a-hole! Clearly a sign of the totally self-absorbed, conceited talent that many of professional sports stars have become.

I can only wish he NEVER plays again.

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. (AP) -- Michael Vick wouldn't mind having Terrell Owens line up at receiver for the Atlanta Falcons -- as long as T.O. understands one thing.

"This is my team,'' Vick said Wednesday.

Besides, No. 7 already has provided a resounding response to those who criticize his passing numbers and deride him as nothing more than a freak of an athlete masquerading as a quarterback.

On 670 the score today, they stated that TO will most likely play again in 2005. They stated that the players association has put together quite a case for TO stating that it is cruel and unusual punishment to suspend TO for four games without pay, and then to turn around and punish him again by deactivating him. They claim that it is going against the rules of the deactivation clause, and that they can not punish him twice for the same thing.

? What the Eagles did is like a judge sentencing a defendant on a Friday for a month, and then he comes back on Monday and says, 'No, let's make that four months.' ? ESPN

After his suspension....

The Eagles can keep Owens on the roster. He can show up every game day. Wear his uniform and his helmet. Bring the players water during the game. No harm done.

Loving watching him sit during what should have been the MOST PRODUCTIVE time of his career. He can practice using his best tool. His mouth. See if that gets him paid.

theres no rule or law that says he has to play after the 4 game suspension. after he comes back, there might be a rule that eagles have to keep him, but actually playing him is up to management and andy reid.

i doubt owens would step a foot on the linc field again unless with another team, and even when that happens, he should be prepared to get some shit tossed his way. eagles fans are brutal

I just have to wonder if the eagles are still in contention for the playoffs after these four games are up, what will happen then?
Putting aside what he did, you think the eagles or the fans are willing to leave him on the bench in a must win game to get to the playoffs or even in the playoffs?

They might, just to show that they are hardasses. But smart?????

fairy you have to understand one thing. this guy is and was a major distraction to this team. his on field performace was doing more harm then good. like i said before, this guy is top3 WR in the game, but when he is off the field he causes too much distraction towards the team, specially mcnabb. mcnabb is a crappy QB to begin with, hernia or not, i dont think the guy is a good QB. hes not a leader (obviously), and his passing accuracy is terrible. yea you can make a point that he went to 3 straight championship games and a super bowl, but he never has won anything, and is showed big time in the 4th QTR of the super bowl last year. put young, favre, even bledsoe in that situation and the eagles win the bowl last year.
owens was making this team worse every week by opening his mouth. they would be much better with him playing for them on the field, minus his antics, but i dont think they had a shot this year to begin with, and thats because there are many holes on this team.

all in all, my personal opinion, they are better off without this guy playing for them just for the fact that he isnt a team player and is selfish. i would love to see him go play with vick in atlanta. vick and mora are the type of guys who wont take his shit, and he'll straighten right up down there. i would like to see it.

I am embarassed I am even contributing to the discussion as TO does not deserve the attention we are all giving him......that said and my $0.02:

To Murph's point above regarding possible homes for TO, take the Steelers off that list. There is not a chance in hell the Rooney family would in a million years consider allowing this jerk to wear the black and gold; never ever!

On a related and lighter note, wouldn't you love to see the Big Chief and Antonis Gates square off in the Octagon! My $$$'s on AG, he's a STUD! Now I wish he was hear in Pgh even with the recent success of Heath Miller.

Enough said, back to capping........ :mj21:
