don't know why it is eating batteries, but do know that if you buy a battery with a good warranty it will never cost you a dime to replace (i know that doesn't make up for being stuck with a dead battery when the warranty doesn't cover service or anything :( )

That's right go to Sears and buy the Sears Diehard w/warranty. A good investment if you're having this problem.

i've had many cars in my 50 years and i don't think i EVER bought a battery. i've had my jump starts but never needed a new battery in any car i've ever owned, new or used. i guess i'm lucky.

batteries for lawn tractors is another story :D

I wouldn't use a Diehard unless it was dirt cheap. See if you can find a reputable shop to do an electrical draw test on your car. Something might be on without you knowing it. I had a customer drain batteries just to find out that the trunk light was not turning off when the trunk was closed. It can be something that stupid. :)

Well,

I bought the Diehard with a warranty and it was less than $100. Never had a problem in 3 yrs and running. I think it was a good investment. Good battery too.

My dad had the same type of problem and spent hundreds of dollars trying to fix it, and come to find out it was the light next to mirror on the passenger side sun visor that kept staying on.

Your probably correct.

I'm capable of breaking any component on a car. So my history on products and brand names may be worthless.

We could go back to dependable horses anytime as far as I'm concerned.
