I am too excited and sort of want to tell someone about it. So I got a call last night from a close family member about a property that has just opened up. She is going to allow me to just pay what the mortgage is which is exactly what I pay in rent, and then in six months after I can save up a down payment to buy she is going to sell me the house for about 10K less then what it would sell for on the market. Now, I am still kind of a young guy only 26 and this is my first house. I just got out of school about a year or so ago, which was very challenging for me. It took me about five and half years to get through because I had to pay my own through a private school. It was a lot of hard work but I finished with a finance degree. I was very fortune and found a good job right of school in the banking industry in a new company with a great business plan, basically the sky is the limit. I'm going to look at the house tonight and from what I was told everything is new and replaced in the house. I am just shocked how far and fast things go, it seems like just yesterday I was in Massillon playing in my high school championship football game. I can't believe most likely I will be buying my first house in about 6 months, and things are going great at work too, because my boss told me I am up for a nice size promotion in about 3 months. I'm not trying to toot my horn but my parents were right hard work will get you places in life. I'm feeling great right now, can't believe I finally got things rolling for myself. Sorry for the stupid life-story guys.

"Sorry for the stupid life-story guys."

Not stupid at all-- in fact quite encouraging--big step but one you'll never regret.
Hats off to you for efforts--as with most-- the harder you work the luckier you get ;)

Am quite sure your relative took your iniative into consideration.

congratulations. i didnt get my first house until i was 37. i made a few mistakes when i bought it and started to remodel, ended up with some bad contrators, not horrible, but bad, and work started to really slow down. i am happy for you, dont make the mistakes i did.

Thom -- now go celebrate in a Columbus bar that sells my buddy's beer. The beer is named Scarlet, and it is sold in about 40 bars now around the city. Draft only.

Shameless plug for a friend. ;)
