Hey Blue,

I was born and bred in the big salty ham (aka Birmingham) and I never refered to MLK day as REL day. The only people who did in my school were outcasts and alsoands. Most of the time the rebel flag waving individuals and the Jiffy Lube technicians are one in the same. Take it easy when talking about an entire group.

Speaking of Birmingham.I am in Birmingham and they just found and detonated a bomb in downtown. Safely detonated by the bomb squad.

To me, the only "king" is Elvis. I work for myself, went to work & made good money. & like Jack, I wish the market was open & my mail came. Hell, they aren't even picking up the garbage here today.

Let me respond for Beantown
Being in Mass the most liberal of all the 50 states
Nothing is moving today..
Keep in mind MLK did forge ALL of his term papers and the like at BU
I am pretty sure that womanizer got with some white women while he was here (married at the time too)
But as most men have flaws (except Scott4USC) his message should be remembered..

I decided to call in say I was coming in late today. Then I decided no need to call myself.

Took the walk downstairs to my office and ready for work. The life of a gambler has it's good points. :grins:

Happy BTK Day everyone.

yes... lock yourself in your office and keep working...

if you think im going to be happy with a measly 6-0 playoff record you are mistaken... I will be expecting more winners from you sir!

Orthopedic sales is not too bad either.. gave myself the day off.. No sales calls today and People can wait one more day for their knee braces :mj14: playing golf at 4pm! 73 degrees here in Dallas today :mj14: :mj14:

AP Poll: Blacks Likelier to Celebrate MLK
WASHINGTON - Blacks are more likely than whites to commemorate Martin Luther King's birthday, an AP-Ipsos poll found. They're also more inclined to harbor doubts about progress toward his dream of racial equality. Three-fourths of the people in this country say there has been significant progress toward equality, but only 66 percent of blacks felt that way.

Ditto Jack, Bank-Post Office however I figured it out when I went to Bank 1st--skipped heading to Post Office.

I find it ironic how people complain about racism --- then refer to Redneck's in caps 3 or 4 times.:)
Must be one way street!

"BOMB" turned out to be a newly replaced jewelry store package. Not detonated. Not a bomb afterall. Still only exciting thing in B'ham is the nightly murder report.

BUT, we have come up with a new game for Saturday News night. Every time the news says "murder", you have to take a shot. Sure hope I can take 67 shots in 30 mins.
