i swear nothing. the matchups that are left i dont really like any of the teams. i am a raiders fan cant stand denver. i live in st louis dont care for seattle especially after the game in green bay a couple of years ago when he guessed the toss and after said and we are going to win and he lost. could careless to see carolina or pittsburgh. think no matter who goes afc will dominate. now the truth the gambler in me will watch probably a little party at home betting the afc team to win.

just curious.....why no superbowl party?...thought it was annual get together
can't get the rooms for a private party anymore. and if you could pull it off it would be priced way too high. in the neighborhood of $350 per person which is ridiculous.

Hell, I would be happy renting a Knights of Columbus hall (as long as they had at least 1 big screen!) or something like that. Let everyone find their own rooms!

One thing for sure I will be staying out of downtown Detroit. They have been talking about superbowl parties up here anywhere from $500-2000 or special invite only, way out of my league. My wife works for General Motors so she decided to volunteer during superbowl week. I went with her last Sat.( Ford Field) for pep rally & her superbowl gear nice jacket with zip out vest. She will be greeter at the hotel in the ren. sen. Hope the city pulls it off with no major problems. I know we will here a lot of bitching about the weather.I know the Casinos will make a killing.

I am sure I will go to some lame-ass SB party. I think the game will be good this year. I only hope the commercials come back strong. They've lacked the last few years.

May I suggest us doing something like Biloxi, Tunica, etc. for SB next year? Honest, one of the only times I have enjoyed a SB party was the MJs party in Vegas. Most are just too many people in a house without ample seating, viewing, and of course betting outs!

Gimme 10 squares!

Jack any thoughts of moving it to Atlantic City? I know there is no sportsbooks but everyone has offshore accounts for that anyway. At least they have the casino and the tradition would live (somewhat) anyway. Just a thought.

I usually go to a private party at a local resturant. They have a banquet room with a projection screen, and a decent spread with Prime Rib and plently of booze. Local books are onsite for last min. hedges. Local drug purveyors are also on site if the party needs to step it up a level.

yup, dads health permitting, looks like spending the SB in Minny!!! (and not sleeping in the car just to get the kids to their dads house) hopefully it will be one of the more memorable SB's as of late, even tho i don't give a crap about either team playing!!!

I'm going to some sort of lingerie superbowl at the la colliseum. I have no idea what it is other than at halftime the best teams composed of lingerie models will play their game against each other. I guess it's something like foxy boxing - only football instead. I doubt it will be as good as the MJ party last year, but it definitely has some serious upside potential.

Hey Jack, why can't we go back to Sunset Station?
We all had such a great time at party there. I am sure old Bob would accomodate us. We still go there and were invited free to their SB party last 2 years, given free rooms etc. They would probably welcome us back.
Can Fletcher look into it? :mj05: dance1 :mj03:

Overall, the event kinda sucked. Not much of a party. However, I was much more impressed with the ladies' game than the real game. They had some serious hitting. Refs didn't ruin their game also - they let the ladies play. It was kinda messed up by Refrigerator Perry. Each team could use him for one play. New York did that effectively and it made the difference to put them over the top. Last thing I wanted to see was his fatass out there though.

Same here - great time last year. I liked the way you went on and on about how I sounded like that Brenneman Cincinnati sports caster guy Saturday night, and then had no idea who I even was on Sunday. :com:

smurphy, sorry to hear it was somewhat of a disappointment.

maybe poster "bowdag" will post some photos to brighten up the event.

urgh, that next day was a total friggin fog for me, but did recall all the banter about brenneman on my 6 hour flight home....

everytime i see or hear of him always reminds of you.
