i guess you never saw superbowl 3GM said:I have never been a proponent of the "fix" theory, but for the first time in my life, and I never thought I would EVER say this.... I do believe this game was not officiated honestly. What we just witnessed was an absolute travesty.
Bad calls - no calls - you name it - at EVERY timely moment the refs tried to pull this game Pittsburgh's way. This really leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I think we've finally witnessed a bought Superbowl.
Who said Vegas fixed this game? :142squintDoubleDown said:Vegas fixed thsi game, so they could lose BILLIONS of $$$$ !!! Makes sense to me !!
You're right, I didn't, I was 3 years old in 1969.moe777 said:i guess you never saw superbowl 3

What I was saying in reference to GM's post was that this game was not officiated honestly. Due to the large number of BIG calls against Seattle, at inopportune times, I think this was very suspicious. Was it fixed? I dont know and will never know. Did Vegas do it? I dont know and will never know. Did someone pull this off? I suspect so.GM said:I do believe this game was not officiated honestly. Sun Tzu said:No question about it. I have little doubt Earl Morrall was paid off. But it was the powers of football behind it, not gamblers.
Hate to burst some bubbles, it doesnt have to be Vegas to "fix" a game.
Take the 1995 NBA playoffs. Courtside several media folks heard ref Jake O'Donnel tell Clyde Drexler "I will make sure you dont win this game tonight and you will never get a ring."
Early in the game Drexler got tossed and the Rockets got blown out. Houston managed a miracle run to the title, and O"Donnel was fired by the NBA.
