I've been going there for about 30 years mostly to party but the last 10 years to bet on sports at their many "Caliente Sportbooks".

I was stopped on the street down in the "Zona Norte" section just last week for asking someone for the nearest liquior store and was told to follow him a couple blocks where the police were in what looked like to be a dogcatcher van full of local drunks and drug addicts and said that I would have to go down to see the judge and pay $15 dollors even though I had nothing on me, they instead let me off with a 20 dollor bill and stay off this street.

Just wanted to hear anyone who has been caught up down in Mexico and to let everyone else no to be carefull and if you do go down where all the hookers are to take a cab.

I was in Acapulco a few years back. I ran a red light and was pulled over by the local police. He asked for my drivers license and as I pulled it out I flashed him the money in my wallet. He took $20.00 and walked away. Why only $20 I have no idea.

The 2 titie bar/whorehouses I recomend are "The Chicago Club" and "Adelitas" most of the women are from either other places in Mexico or other South American countries, $50 and $5 for the room upstairs will always make you want to come back for more.

DickyV....going down to Rosarito in June to play golf, eat some lobsters and lay around. The part I hate is getting back accross the border....Is there still a line of cars 2 hours long to cross? Evern if you park on the US side and walk, it still takes forever to cross....How do you do it?

I have so many stories of Revolucion Blvd. and tijuana, that i would probably get a quick divorce if my wife ever heard em.

tijuana is a blast, but haven't been in 8 or 9 years. a little too old for it now. but man is it fun.
if you ever get in little trouble, just give the guy $20. always works.

i remember betting on jai lai i was so high and drunk, and well, better not go there.

anyway, its a good time if you are younger. on the weekends its mostly a bunch of san diego st. students anyway. but that was 10 years ago, not sure about post 9/11 and such.

rosarita and ensanada are both very nice as well for a more family type vacation.

It is ****ed either way you go but lately I think if you drive your best bet is to head east to the next border entrance Otay border crossing about a 20 min. drive from TJ.
I have a Sentri pass in which you have to fill out a application give them your fingerprints and all that stuff from the department of Homeland Securities and from 3 to 7pm I can bypass the sometime 2 to 3 hour crossing time on foot and get back in 5 min. but it is not open on weekends when the wait is even longer. But I park in San Ysidro and walk over the bridge to cross the line pay $6 for parking on this side.

I never been there but I hear its nice course "BajaMar" is the name.
Before you get in to Rosarito hit up Puerto Neuevo for Lobster and beer best prices on either side.

Jai Alai is an awesome sport from I think cuba its only played in Miami now whenever there is a match going on you bet on it here in TJ satelight wagering. They closed the one in downtown TJ it used for concerts live music now but the sportsbook is still there on 4th an Revelution St. its called Tijuana Tillys. A Landmark in Mexico.

It's sure is a hell of a lot cheaper in Mexico to buy your way out of trouble than the old USA.

I would be sitting in jail right know if I tried to give my lawyer $20 to keep me out :mj07:

Hey Boys i live here now, have been for the last 6 years. i know just about everthing there is here.

And yes i have been locked up here , many times.
Not that im a bad ass or anything , it just happens when u spend as much time as i do in the wrong places.

I have never been arrested in the states , and have only had 4 tickets in my life. so i dont look for trouble, but here in tj it finds you.

you just need to know how to get through it.

Jai Aliah is no longer here in tj, but what is and is a great time are the dogs over at the hiprodromo.

and i live next to the cailente know as last chance, in front of the Mcdonalds.

My backyard is the US, my side yard is the Point of entry into the US at san ysidro. the main crossing point into the US or Mexico.

So if anyone is intested in a little tour of the HOT spots , feel free to get my e-mail from jack.

And trust me after all the hiccups i have been through i now stay well clear of trouble. I dont like to take the free taxis(police cars) and i dont like to sleep in my casa segunda( 2nd house,jail).

BTW Adelitas is sooooooo over done now, simply a meat market and who wants to be with a girl that is all plastic and been with 25 guys that day.

i go to much classy places where u can meet a girl and maybe spend the whole weekend with her at no charge.

anyway boys it still is paraiso here, Heaven.
