dude i remember i was about 19 yrs old and i was having a great day at that last chance caliente ( i won like $5000 that friday night) it was college basketball season and i didn't wanna come home (i lived in coronado) so after i won that night i cashed and i still can't believ this chit, i put $5000 in my socks and went by myself to kauila and hung out there all night and had a great time but only if someone knew i had that much money in my socks, i'd be lying in a ditch somewhere lol. but i had a grrrrrreatt time that night if u know what i'm sayin lol

nah i didn't get drunk but i did spend alot on those freakin hookers :cursin: then gave back $2200 to caliente the next day on an early morning game and a noon game lol..... but still came back with some cash and a happy johnson :mj07:

I've been in Guadalajara for almost 11 years. It's great living here. Climate is about like San Diego.

The sportsbook lines in Mexico are terrible. That's what made me go to Pinnacle. Freekin thieves down here at the book.

I don't drive, but my wife (mexicana) does. When she get's stopped she tells me to give her 25 PESOS. That's about $2.30

A drunk driving will run you $30.

If you have plates from the states they will hound you. What my wife pays 25 pesos for will cost the gringo 100 - 200 pesos. I met a guy in a bar that came here in a motorhome and the cop got him for not wearing a seatbelt. He told me he had to pay $100 dollars. I said "you mean 100 pesos" He said no, 100 dollars.

So what it amounts to is they rip off gringos.

You can go to a photo copy center in TJ and get a laminated color copy of your license. This is the one to show the cop in case they try and keep it for ransom or whatever. Hide your real license until it's time to return home. Also, don't keep too much money in your wallet. You don't want them to see too much money in there. They will charge you more.

You can also ask for the ticket. Don't be afraid to ask. You can pay the ticket at the bank and get a discount for prompt payment.

Might be different in TJ but that's the way it works here.
