I've been on a few 7 day cruises before. Lots of fun, they sort of go by fast though. I was thinking of taking a 13 day cruise sometime in the future. Has anybody been on one? Pretty fun just like a seven day cruise? I'll probably need to bring more money on a 13 day one. Any suggestions?

Heaven, oh!!, this isn't it?!
Kneifl,

I have been on a Ten day cruise. I thought much the same thing as you, with the two days of travel, if you have the time, why not extend it 3 more days, and finally come back from a vacation relaxed for once. WRONG :scared :SIB

Turned out, my girlfriend and I were in our low 30's at the time, which with one other couple like us, brought the average age of this cruise from 90 down to 86 :sadwave: :com:

The disco would close at 8:00pm. Three helicopters landed to take stiffs of the ship. Waliking anywhere on the ship was like being stuck in rush hour traffic at the tollbooths in Chicago(FIBS). As soon as we hit land, we grabbed that other couple and RAN off that floating convalescent(sp?) home :mj07:

The travel agent I had that set this up for us, was fired immediately :box2: when I got back.

Make sure you do LOTS of research before you choose one :wall:

a cruise is something that appeals to me in absolutely no way. Not being an ass, but what's the appeal? I can think of so many more things I would rather do. Maybe I'd like it if I ever went, but I can't think of any reason to go on one.

I'd rather go to jail for 106 days than go on a cruise that long. I go stir crazy after just a couple days and there's no way i'd make it even on a 13 day cruise. I would jump overboard. Franky had a great description of what to expect on many cruises. I've been dragged on cruises before but I can't stand them.

by and large, cruises are for the elderly & the obese (midnight buffet anyone?). go w/ a group or you'll be bored to tears.

I have been on over 45 cruises in my life
13 days is about the limit
You will want to kill who you are with after day 8
Your bar bill will be the same as the price of the cruise
The cruise line is also important and make sure you take full advantage of each port
PLus side .. chicks cant run and you will get ample chance to see them every night
