I don't know why Detroit isn't a bigger favorite here. I'm thinking of pounding Detroit after a loss here 1000 strong on Kenny Rogers.....

Before I make my bet I wanna be sure though...Is there something I'm missing about Minnesota or Detroit??

If anyone has any input either way it would be appreciated...

I feel like Detroit is good for at least 4 runs....And usually that is enough for any team against the Twins....

If the Minnesota Twins forgot the embarrassment they suffered recently after one of their worst series in recent memory, the Detroit Tigers will be happy to remind them.In a rematch of a pitching matchup from last Sunday, Kenny Rogers leads the Tigers (19-10) into the Metrodome to face Kyle Lohse and the Twins (11-17) on Friday in the start of a three-game series.Detroit swept a three-game set from Minnesota last weekend at Comerica Park by a combined score of 33-1. The Tigers also outhit the Twins 47-15 in those contests. It marked the first time in nearly 25 years that Minnesota was held to one run in a three-game series."My whole career I've never been whooped like this before," Twins center fielder Torii Hunter said. "In eight years in the big leagues, I've never been defeated like this - even in the minor leagues - I don't think."Twins left fielder Shannon Stewart said memories of those losses will be hard to let go."You are never going to forget that beating because the reality is, they beat us pretty bad in Detroit," he said. "I would like to have played the team better than what we did. We could do a lot better than that. I don't think that was the true Minnesota Twins out there."Rogers (4-2, 2.59 ERA) allowed two hits and a walk in eight innings in a 6-0 victory last Sunday. The left-hander, who won 13 games for Minnesota in 2003, is 13-9 with a 2.87 ERA and three saves in 47 appearances against the Twins.Lohse (1-2, 8.77) lasted 5 2-3 innings, giving up six runs and eight hits. He is 1-3 with a 4.86 ERA in his last four starts against the Tigers."I threw like I needed to throw. I didn't think I made any bad pitches," Lohse said.Minnesota fell to 3-11 against AL Central opponents with another embarrassing loss, 1-0 to lowly Kansas City on Thursday. It was the Royals' first road win in 13 tries this season. The Twins managed five hits, received six walks and stranded 13 runners in falling to 0-6 when being held to five hits or less.Detroit was looking to close out its seven-game homestand with a perfect record, but fell 7-2 to the Los Angeles Angels on Thursday.Magglio Ordonez and Curtis Granderson drove in runs with sacrifice flies and rookie pitcher Justin Verlander allowed four runs and nine hits over six innings for the Tigers."Justin didn't have his good stuff," Detroit manager Jim Leyland said. "And we didn't do anything offensively."The Tigers are 11-1 when scoring five or more runs, but 8-9 when plating four or less.Minnesota has won four straight at home over Detroit.

TJ thanks for lengthy report....I just read Det looks to add Dimitri Young another power threat (activate him) for tonights game.

I will spend some more time looking at the stats......This years stats against the twins look pretty impresive...that's why I was stunned, but it doesn't look like Detroit plays well in the Metrodome.....we will see

Thanks TJ
