need opinions on MOTHERS DAY

im married soon to be 35 yrs. 2 daughters, empty nest. my wifes mom and my mom are still with us, for many yrs. now my wife expects a gift and a card and maybe dinner and time together, us that is, because she is the mother of our daughters. I COULD CARE LESS ABOUT FATHERS DAY, I DONT FEEL THE SAME WAY SHE DOES.ABOUT THOSE DAYS.she does agree that we should visit and spend some time with our moms, this i do certainly agree with.

HOW DO YOU ALL FEEL, NEED OPINIONS.

mode, i think you have to suck up and keep with the plan you've been on for many years. i'm sure your opinion and hers on valentines day is different as well. suck up and make her happy, it's only a few days a year. afterall, she puts up with your chit everyday of the year so give her a few special days

I can't figure out why you posted this ? You no how she feels about these kind of days, so if you care about her, make her happy. It doesn't matter how long you have been married, everyday is a new day,make her happy everyday and I'll bet you will be happy too. Today is the first day of the rest of your life, If you have been married for 35yrs, I hope it's because you love and care about her and you should show her that you do,the way that she wants to be shown. Are you in or out ? If you need a gun to your head to make her happy,maybe you two need some help to make some changes. What if she didn't expect a gift,what would you do ? She should expect a gift and you should have to be held back to provide it; smile,be happy,life is what you make it.
