Anybody else?
If you weren't ready for the downside of fame, you shouldn't have put yourself out there with that reach for glory.

....at least it must play well with the ladies. "Did you see me on ESPN last night?" is a pretty good pickup line.

I can think of many things to do while in Vegas, and none involve watching someone else play cards :nono: whether someone coaxed you into doing it or not, why werent you at the pool gawking and flirting with the kosar charm with the females?

indeed, if you call sarcasm and cynicism and instigating sports message forums charm then I guess he'd have it :mj07: :mj07: but give the man some sympathy and some mourning as the cavs lost a horrible game friday, and he has to sit in oppressive 90+ degree heat with old geezers in redneck riviera all summer, come december I will be jealous though when its 30 degrees here

Haven't fans of Cleveland teams already depleted the global supply of sympathy? I have no tears left to shed for 'loveable losers'. As for the oppressive heat he must endure...well, I don't recall the residence stormtroopers surrounding him at gunpoint and forcing him to move anywhere. He obviously doesn't mind the heat much given how often he frequents Vegas to worship poker idols.

:mj07: :mj07: :mj07: LOL, yeah cleveland fans, behind cub fans, get too much sympathy and with ohio state being good I concur with you saul, no more sympathy given.....yeah going to vegas in the middle of july and august is genius, how about october when there is football and 70s temperatures, it just makes too much sense.....no, no stormtroopers forcing a relocation, but I never hear/heard the end of it about my beloved new york being bashed by knuckleheads that shall remain nameless, i'm not saying i'd rather be in snow than 95 degrees and humid but it gets bad there in the summer, and trying to get a decent, non-chain restaurant meal of like italian food, chinese, etc is impossible......move to the northeast saul, california has a few too many wackos for my taste and here everyone is nice and sarcastic so you'll fit right in :SIB just too cold in the winter

:mj07: I'm not as worried about the whackos as I am the Mexican invasion out here. I have to admit I enjoyed the boycott. It was nice to walk down the sidewalk without dodging pudgy mothers pushing a stroller surrounded by half a dozen lil' ones fluttering around her like moths around a lightpost. Sucks to have every HBO channel wasted on a Spanish version instead of getting more variety in English.

Thanks for the invite. I love NYC. Love the attitude. Cali lacks that brutal honest approach. ....But we do have very mild weather - all year round. :SIB

Back on topic, I'm glad Kosar got to meet his hero and the moment was captured for all to see.

So. Cal
yo madjack i Just saw moneymaker get knocked out in the 2004 wsop, im assuming this is the show that you were on shaking moneymakers hand when he gets knocked out.

Ok i want to know which guy you are,
are you the big guy with ponytail in red shirt,
young kid at table with black shirt,
old man with gray jacket and gray hair and glasses,
bald guy with gray collared shirt,
tall guy turning around with black shirt patting him on the back,

and i just finished freeze framing the video to get everyone that interacted with moneymaker so i geuss you have got to be one of those possibilities.

Also, could someone get a real screen cap of kosar, i want to know what all these gary coleman and short jokes are about.

i didn't shake moneymakers hand, i didn't applaud, i didn't pat him on the back. i didn't even know he got knocked out as i was involved in a hand at the time. in the clip, moneymaker walks behind me as i'm standing at my table staring to the middle of it. i'm 6'4" and i think i'm wearing my black madjacksports tee shirt, black cap and jean shorts.

:mj07: :mj07: :mj07: saul you have the exact same personality as me fit to a tee judging by your posts, always nice to see.....yeah kosar seems to idolize poker players so it's nice he was able to fulfill a lifelong dream, LOL......anytime you wanna come to the NYC area I'll buy you a drink, I can promise they'll be less mexicans than california, but I was at the mets/yanks sunday and they made more announcements in spanish than english, so it isn't a whole lot better over here..I'd kill for californias weather, just hate the attitude and everything else there and the passionless sports fans

well, florida really only has weather going for it, which is nice, but that's not worth sacrificing a) having no sports to watch or go to b) having horrible food c) having boring people and trashy a-holes d) jobs paying $7/hr unless you own your own business, etc.......just personal preference to me, I like where people have a damn pulse and are feisty, whatever, atlanta and the south and southwest have gotten massive amounts of people moving there and economy is booming for sure so something must be 'good' mainly cheaper to live than up here, but at this stage of my life I'd rather be here, but could live in atlanta not a bad place at all from all accounts

Rude, arrogant, obnoxious blowhards. Shitty weather. Ridiculous traffic. Pollution. Horrible drivers. Annoying accents. Paying 2 grand a month for a studio in a crappy area of Queens. What's not to like!?!

and you would know because you've been there, right? :mj07: :mj07: I think you're the blowhard you're referring to, as you probably watched too much msnbc and heard those ideas from someone sitting next you on a barstool........clowns like you are what give NY a bad name.....yes some people are "rude obnoxious blowhards" but i'm not, it's a big fkin city/area, bad winters yes but nice spring/summer, drivers agressive but i'm used to that it could bother others, accents who cares on that, 2 grand a month for studio is inaccurate, more like 13-1400, but it's nice to know madjacks produces such smart people on topics that they have never seen before, it's like me making a racial stereotype or stereotype that "florida is all old people" :nono: :nono: if you came in the summer or spring and went to the right places you'd love it

nysportsfan....

no need to get insulted that kosar thinks this way about ny & nyers......

what's the big deal....it's his preference...

there are good things about ny & bad things about ny......like any other place...

Exactly, Al. See, you don't get bothered by my generalizations even though you're originally from NY, because they don't apply to you. On the other hand you have NY Sportsfan who sees his reflection oh so clearly in my words. That is all for now.
