Gambling for a living?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hello all, I just joined MJ today, im 18 yr old big met/knick/giant fan from New York, Just wanted to say that ive been visiting this site for a while and have enjoyed most of it thoroughly and have read some excellent write ups of things. Anyway, my situation is, I hate school, like most you did, and want to become a professional gambler, as I can count cards in bjack, and have been betting sports for 4+ yrs, the key is flat betting obviously though..My question is, does anyone here do it?...how bad is the stigma attached to it, there already is one for part time gamblers, but I dont care...Also, how the f**k do u get car loans, mortgages etc if your a "professional gambler", even if you do well, its probably not common place...Anyway, its a difficult vocation yes, but with enough work spent studying and learning daily, the key though is MONEY MGT, I was looking for some feedback from some of the older folks on here, u can email me also if u have more detailed thoughts...Im going to post picks here and there, but Im more into discussing gms w/intelligent players, instead of just posting a pick, feel free to IM me..Thanks, and I like this site, keep up the good work, hope to hear from you

thanks uss........I just dont that me being a northerner and all, and my religion being what it is, would be accepted with the good ole boys in alabama Nonetheless, maybe it could still be a good idea. Do most of the jobs at your familys bank require a college degree, which I don't have, but I have 4 years part=time accounting experience, and I am quite competent and pretty smart despite my lack of "piece of paper" how is the cost of living there as well? I dont think 'bama is for me though, a little too much of a culture shock, but thanks anyway, maybe still will look into it
