Bama/UT 5 OT times a couple years ago...
Great game.

Punt Bama Punt...Alabama leading Auburn 16-3 late in the game when Bill Newton blocked 2 Bama punts and David Langner returned them both for touchdowns. Auburn won 17-16. Awesome day for a 14 year old kid

If we had a worst events thread, both of these would be at the top my lists as a Bama fan :cursin:

Ryder Cup at Oak Hill

Saw all three days. best moment was seeing Curtis Strange shaking like a leaf on 18 on Saturday afternoon. The tension was unbelievable.

May 1998, Wrigley Field.

I ditched school to go with a whole group of guys from school to a cubs game because a) it was a midday May game and it was half off tickets which unded up costing a measly $6 dollars, no joke and b) they hadn't named a starter and we had a suspicion that the much hyped Kerry Wood would be pitching.

We get there like 8 of us two hours before the first pitch. Bleacher seats, we are the first ones in the gates when they open the doors and back then and still today a bleacher seat is just a bleacher seat and you can sit wherever you want. We get right up against the left field wall front row.

Kerry Wood throws a no no with a 20k strikeout performance. Now you might not remember it as a no no but F-in Kevin Orie booted a play at third that they ruled a hit. Officially it was a 20k, no walk, one hit batter, one hitter but not in my eyes. By the way Shane Reynolds pitched a complete game as well with 10k's not bad.

Gracie went 2 for 3 but thanks for reminding me...... F-in KEVIN F-in ORIE....

But I did get a piece of ivey that I saved and the ticket stub.... Oh what could have been Kerry

Just looked it up:

Attendance 15758, crazy

A friend of mine in the Marine Corps and I where on leave back in 83' and this bar in the North Suburbs was leasing this bus to go to the harness races at either Hawthorne or Maywood race track can't remember which, I was tore up. Anyway, this buddy of ours John that always wore these crooked glasses gave us some mushrooms, hell we were on leave, so we ate them. Anyhow, its freezing out and we get on the bus with a keg and party all the way to the track. I had never been to a horse race before and decided to bet on horse number 7. There was an indoor grandstand that had this huge window looking out over the track. We sit down with a freshly purchased beer and I figure out that I am quite buzzed. Anyway, the race starts and the horses, unbeknownst to me, accelerate to a trot and I notice number 7 in the lead. I mention this to Dan, we giggle about the fact that we are triping our brains out behind this large T.V. screen. Number 7 comes around the back turn still in the lead and I quip "Go 7", we giggle a bit harder because someone looked at me weird. 7 comes around the final turn in the lead. I elbow Dan.."7....7.....here comes 7" we both kind of start laughing as I stand up and bend back over to hit him on the shoulder one last time and holler "7" as he crosses the finish line, when the elderly man behind me taps me on the shoulder and says, "Hey buddy, you know they go around twice don't you"? At which point Dan begins to absolutely howl with laughter as does everyone else in the ever decreasing windowed grandstand......................was friggin awesome for everyone but me.

UNC vs. ILLinois in the 2005 NCAA title game in St. Louis. I had an 8-1 bet on UNC to win it all. I sat in a section of ILLinois fans and was the only Tar Heel supporter among 100 people near me.

Notre Dame had just beat mighty FSU and became the #1 team in the country
The only real Catholic school that plays football strolls into South Bend the next weekend. BC takes a huge lead.. blows it.. and David Gordon and gust of wind from God himself (showing he truely is a BC fan) pushes a field goal through giving BC a Huge win
(South Bend was/is a great place to see a game)

Okay, in all seriousness the greatest sporting event I have ever been at is without a doubt the 1991 NHL ALL STAR GAME at the "Madhouse on Madison Chicago Stadium" when Wayne Messmer sang the National Anthem just weeks after the start of the Gulf War.

Absolutely unbelievable...still makes me cry when I watch the video....if you look closely towards the end of the video you can see me waving the flag............you would have to know me and be looking for me though. Heres the link I hope. Then just scroll down to 1991 all star game and click and enjoy.........turn up volume for full effect
