i just thought of something i hadn't thought about in a long time. i was emailing somebody something and the subject came up.

i started this site about 10 years ago after i was banned from the old AOL sports gamblijg forums. :142smilie

yeah, i got my third strike for posting 'off topic' trying to arrange a superbowl party in the gambling forums :rolleyes:

the other 2 strikes were for profanities.

anyway, i started this site so i could get a group of people together to talk about the games, mainly my old AOL buddies. people started showing up, it snowballed and the rest is history.

sooooooooo, i'd like to thank AOL and at the same time tell them to F*CK OFF!!!

Ha! I agree AOL sucks. Just think what they could have done with that company if they would have had a better business model, a little more creativity, and done things a lot differently.

I was just telling the Creation of Madjacks story to a friend of mine the other day. One of the guys that came out to the Super Bowl was asking if Jack was a computer whiz.

After changing my wet shorts, I calmly explained to him that that was certainly not the case.

Remember the ole aol boards well, they did not give any notice at all about shutting the boards off, then poof one day, all the discussion boards were gone, without explanation or warning. Then I came and found madjacks, best thing I ever hooked up with. I know somebody from the aol boards originally told me about this site, but I don't think it was madjack.

AOL will be disappearing soon enuff anyways, they are a destruction just waiting to happen, just like compuserve and prodigy. They are talking about going internet based and doing away w/all paid memberships, LOL!! What a looser company!!!:mj07: :mj07:

Who or what the hell is "AOL"? Is it a MAC thing?:shrug:

It's even worse than I imagined for them, and that says a LOT!

I have stated in the past that if someone has an AOL email address, that it is a good sign that we probably wouldn't be good friends. Very similar to the way I feel when someone is driving a Hummer in a big city.

there was at least 100 people that had login problems when we upgraded the forum software. i think 99 of those used aol. wtf?

try this, gregg.

delete temp internet files and cookies first. if that doesn't help do the part typed in bold. use bookmarks to www.madjacksports.com instead of plain madjacksports.com:

Open up IE click tools then internet options once there clear cookies and also click delete files button including offline files.

Then close it

Then click start windows menu

Then run

Then type cmd then hit go

Window comes up type in ipconfig /flushdns then enter, then close all open up IE to madjack and try login
