(AP) Willie Nelson and some of the others on his bus have been cited for misdemeanor drug possession.

Louisiana state troopers say they smelled a strong odor of marijuana from a bus pulled over in a traffic stop.

A search of the vehicle allegedly turned up 1 1/2 pounds of marijuana and two-tenths of a pound of mushrooms.

Nelson was cited for possession of mushrooms and possession of marijuana. The same citations were also issued for his sister, Bobbie Nelson, and for Tony Sizemore, Gates Moore and David Anderson. All have been released.

its misdemeanor because he's a star i guess. its a judgement call for intent to distribute most of the time. if they really want to fck him, especially on a tour bus the feds can get involved and interstate charges, intent to distribute, and rackateering charges.

why bother, whats the point. i haven't smoked in quite a few years, but just legalize the stuff. and then legalize gambling online, and then you have a democracy that works.

believe it or not but at one time (late 60's-early 70's), pot cost about $15 an oz.

Haven't smoked pot in years, but have many friends that still do. To pick up an ounce, its usually 100-125, sometimes much more if its northern california/hydroponic shwag. That would make it 1600 for a pound, but I'm sure your friendly neighborhood dealer would give you a volume discount...:mj07:

Anyway, to elaborate, I think pot is considered harmless by many, but I think it has been very detrimental to lots of people including Willie.
