I am very dissapointed in SC and am going to revise my Top 10 and move them from the 3 spot where I had them and make some other changes. Though SC is still pretty good they certainly are not Top 5 at this point. Pains me to say. Other teams are playing considerably better and until SC steps up they drop for me.

Also don't see a better team in the country than OSU and they are just getting better.

OSU-Unanimous #1
Michigan
Auburn
LSU
WVU
USC
FL
Clemson
Louisville
Texas/Oregon

Ryan McGwyer this should make you feel better, as I am ranking a 1 loss LSU team ahead of my Troajans.

A 1 loss LSU ranked ahead of USC? :mj07: The LSU team who has a Strength of Schedule ranked 100 vs USC SOS ranked #4 in the country? (sagarin) LSU lost to the only team they played that was worth a damn. That is why they have a SOS ranked #100 despite playing AUBURN! The same LSU team who has ZERO road wins and only played 1 road game so far? GIVE ME A BREAK!

Isn't USC the only team in the country who has 3 road wins? USC opened the year playing 3/4 on the road AND all 4 teams BCS opponents. Look what happened to Auburn playing on the road vs $hitty team in South Carolina. Look how flat Auburn was playing BUFFALO ($hitty buffalo) at home the week after LSU. What if Auburn played on road against BCS opponent? Hell, what would have happened if Auburn played BCS opponent at home? They played Buffalo. There have been ZERO breaks in USC schedule.

I don't think USC is the best this year. Ohio St. clearly is the #1 team in the country. They have proven it on the field. However, USC IMO is the only team who will beat Ohio St. The USC team now prob. will lose vs OSU but the USC team in Jan. will beat OSU. Remember 2003? That is this years USC team but with more talent and ahead of schedule.

What has Michigan, WVU, LSU :mj07: , and Auburn done that is more impressive than USC? (you have them all ranked ahead of USC)

I think you could make a solid argument for Michigan. They have impressive wins AND impressive SOS. NONE of the teams you mentioned ahead of USC (outside of Michigan) have played a SOS better than #50. WVU and LSU are in the 100's in terms of SOS. OUCH! You also forget winning at home is not nearly as difficult as winning on the road.

Since I criticized your post, I should post my top 10. This is my top 10 as of right now based on performance and schedule. My top 10 is very volatile. All 10 teams listed below have "earned" their rankings.

#1 Ohio St.
#2 Michigan
#3 USC
#4 Auburn
#5 Florida
#6 Oregon
#7 Louisville
#8 Texas
#9 OU
#10 Tennessee

EDIT, I put CAL #10 when I meant TN at #10.

scott, your list isnt that far off except for putting a one-loss oregon team in the top 10. if you're going to complain about a 1-loss lsu team, then you can't have it both ways with a one-loss oregon team. i'll still take a healthy usc (w/jarrett) ahead of michigan.

I too would take USC over Michigan but as of right now, i think Michigan has accomplished more than USC. Therefore, they get ranked ahead.

Oregon 4-0 vs LSU 4-1.

Oregon has 2 impressive road wins. LSU has ZERO road wins.

LSU has SOS ranked #100. :mj07:
Oregon has SOS ranked #14

NO COMPARISON. NO ARGUMENT can be made for LSU.

I get your little joke of 1 loss Oregon. ha ha. But do not penalize the Oregon players/program for an official mistake. USC got robbed twice in the BCS Championship game last year from the refs and yet you never once saw USC complain. THE REFS ADMITTED PUBLICLY THEY FAWKED UP IN THE ROSE BOWL GAME TWICE! Reggie Bush lateral was not lateral and Vince Young knee on ground when Texas scored TD. HUGE CALLS yet USC never ONCE complained for refs mistakes. Further, the plays were not even reviewed. THIS WAS THE BCS NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP! So enough of this Oregon 1 loss team etc. You have to play what is dealt to you. $hit happens and I agree OU was royally screwed. But Oregon won the game.

Scott I am an SC guy>>>

Scott I am an SC guy>>>

and Gman can attest that I am as hardcore as they come as I travel to just about every SC game from Atl, but I just don;t thin we have that something special right now. Could we gain that, sure, but right now I ranked them as I see them.

I hate putting LSU ahead of them, especially with all the LSU antil USC sentiment and lack of recognition of USC, but I feel that LSU would beat SC on a neutral field right now.

That was painful but about as unbiased as I can be right now.

And my bias lost me a ton of moulah on SC last evening on the Palouse.

I was not challenging your loyalty to USC. I was challenging your opinion. I don't care who you root for and I feel you have no argument to put LSU ahead of USC. You still have not come up with one. Why don't you take a peek at who LSU has played this year and more importantly where they have played. If USC had played Nebraska, Arizona, AND WSU @home there results would be different. Lets not forget the Arkansas blowout at the beginning of the year to open season @ARKY.

I guess big wins @home vs Louisiana-Lafayette, Arizona, Tulane and Miss.St. impress you. :flush:

Scott, I cannot disagree with the scheduling argument as well as the LSU one loss scenario. The only thing I can argue is that LSU may be better than AU and potentially USC on a neutral field.

But here are the breaks: USC is 4-0 with 3 wins on the road and LSU is 4-1 with all their wins at home. Of course I agree with your logic.

USC in my heart is no worse that #2 and our schedule helps us. But a real bettor says that in a pickem on a neutral field that LSU may be favored, despite our loyalty or media hype.

By the way, I am still pained by the RB
