Jack:

Given everything going on regarding the new bill that is likely to be signed into law today, I do have a couple of questions for you (hopefully you'll have answers):

1. Does this affect the MadJack poker series? I'll admit, I got the willies after all of this, and went and withdrew some $ from all 3 site sponsors - although I did leave enough in to play a few tournaments. Will the tournament continue?

2. I see that Party Poker has already said they won't be open for US residents anymore. I went and withdrew all my $$ from them today (albeit a small amount). Are there other sites that it would be advisable to make a full withdrawal from? I realize that you have utmost faith in many of the offshore sites. I guess I'm more concerned with those that are likely to shut us US residents immediately, as Party Gaming has decided to do.

Any help you could provide would be very, very helpful.

I was wondering the same thing...

Worse case scenario, we could always use the free sites and you pay Jack (or someone) via paypal your entry fee

I did mention this particular thread to him on the cell phone Mags and Jack said if it came down to continuing the tourney , madjacks will just change venues for the likes of wsex or betcris...etc for example.

he is setting up shop for the week in vegas as we speak and has meetings in the morning but im sure he will respond as soon as he can.

thanks for your patience.

the poker series will continue. even should a site pull out (i highly doubt it) we'll have back up sponsors.

people are in a panic and shouldn't be.

the small about of gaming companies that are pulling out of the U.S. are only opening the doors for more business to the companies that keep taking our action.

the ONLY thing that will happen that hasn't been in effect all along, is they are making it more difficult to get money offshore and there will be new ways to transfer that money.

i remain positive about this whole matter.

I think people are settling down today as well... a lot of questions were answered yesterday and now it seems like this is not to much of a big deal..

As you said - going to be a little harder to get money to offshores and maybe out of your account.

I think they are doing this to scare everyone off online gambling - however do not think it will work after reviewing everything from yesterday.
