would like to thank all of you [ya,ll] for your advice over the years. bet the nfl for years, never did well till i found this site ! i am a retired [ very early] dr. living in the south, a transplant from the northeast..i was able to do this because of a few bioteck stocks that i knew, and invested heavily in. the reason for this post is to give you a heads up in a co. that could be very profitable for my friends here at m jacks.. DO NOT buy this stock ! BUT do some dd , research, on geron. {gern} has been named as the microsoft of the biotecks , also said on 60 mins by ed bradley ..if you look at it you will see the leader in cancer researh, 2 drugs in phase 1/2 trials, "may be the cure for all cancer" you will also see the leader, the only one with embryonic stem cell tech ready to go to the clinic in 2007 ! spinal cord injury plus all cloning worldwide !! anyway go to website, look at it, spend time reading press releases etc.. spend as much time doing research here as you do handicapping next weeks games, and it could change your life... by the end of the year things will heat up here, but, you will understand if you look.. again, the reason for this post is a wat to thank you for this site..... p.s. had 50,000 shares of idbe at 3 bucks.. for years... bought by smith cline at 33.. was pissed ! would have gone to 100... gern will go much higher than that !!!

Might be interested if you can explain a few intangibles--
Why did all the insiders sell when stock got to 8.60 a share in Jan -- why have institutions sold of over 3.5 million shares of late-why has it lost 25% of its value this year--why has quarterly revenue decreased over 80% ????

And why has every stock in my lifetime on the verge of curing cancer fallen flat on its face? Last time i took a stoclk tip on a sports site itcrashed and burned. 48 post and now you have a can't miss stock?
I don't think he ever said he had a can't miss stock. I think if you reread his post he tells you not to buy the stock. He tells you to do your homework and make a decision on your own. He was posting moreso to give everyone something to "check out".
Next time you jump down someone's throat make sure to read their post carefully.
i didn't "jump down his throat" but you are right he did say "do your homework" my bad. It is kinda like giving out both sides of a play tho. On one hand if it hits we all jump for joy. On the other if it doesn't than i should have done my homework. Just a thought.
Look what DTB posted. That is some serious misgivings in the stock world. You might have a better chance to short this stock. everyone that knows something bailed out bigtime.
I love getting tips, I check out the company and sometimes, especially with these smaller companies it's scary. I looked up one a friend gave me, and the only reason it appeared to go public was so the founder could make money selling shares, after his grace period he was unloading left and right.
For once, and I repeat once, in my life I agree with Wayne. Boys and girls, I've gotten killed with stuff like this. Remember the old adage if it sounds to good to be true......

3. Do your own dd, (but I've made millions) (knows your all gamblers and can't read the sec 10ks)
4. Doesn't tell you the outstanding shares and the float.
I'll bet you this thing has toxic funding and is just a stock selling company.

eddie, don,t blame you for being sceptical. most investors have been burned now and then from a "tip".. your comments, however, make it obvious that you have no idea what you are talking about..a co. does not need toxic financing with 189 million in the bank. a co with hundreds of us and foriegn patents is, for real... let me help you with your "researc" go to investors hub .com click on boards, then type in geron..there is a full page of introductory info there. you might also want to read the pr that came out on moday... won,t take you 10 minutes to do all of that, then post and tell me if you still think it is a scam !! you will probably post right after calling your broker !!!!! good luck, doc

If the stock was any value at all the market would have adjusted the pricing by now...this reminds me of the movie Boiler Room...
I believe Merck has heavily invested in this company. Redneck-do you know if FDA has approved human trials for spinal cord stem cell surgery in 2007 yet? If you have information on this kindly get my email from Jack, being spinal cord injured, I have a vested interest.
shamrock, love your logo, i was a season ticket holder for years ! moved from mass 3 years ago..all i know is " every thing is on track" , first stem cell trials for spinal injury to start in 2007. however, investing in bioteck requires a lot of patience, and usually there are delays.. you are correct merk did buy 3% of geron this year after they partnered with them to market grnvac, a cancer vaccine that has been in VERY successful trials at duke for 3 years.they also have options to invest more...geron also has deals with roache, jnj. and others. you might want to go to thier website and see if any of the old presentations are there to listen to. or, follow it for the next 3 months as there are 6 more conferences before the end of the year..{ one of the reasons i made my initial post now !] try to find the video of Hans Kirstead, the geron scientist who infused esc,s into paralized rats and had them walking in a few weeks !~ will make the hair stand up on your arms !!!! will try to update you, and try to email, if not email me would take an hour to post all the potential here.. not only for spinal chord, but heart disease, diabetes and more they already have enough purified cells to treat every spinal chord injury in the us !!! sorry to go on, get excited when talking about the future of medicine, and a POSSIBLE cure for so many diseases... anyway, GO PATS !!!!!! doc
looks to me like this stock has been trading sideways for the better part of 5 years. i am skeptical about investing money into a company whose stock is under $10, although if you are a day trader and monitor stocks it might be worth throwing some coin in there and move it quickly if you see some activity in either direction. i am the type that would wait until the price gets to a little higher price , keep the money in blue chips, insurance, utilities, etc...less chance of a blowup and better chance of gains.
ill keep my eye on this one though.
i suggest everyone take a look at this one. expensive but great company and a very solid play in the long term.

i agreed with Wayne to. When i did i read his post a couple hundred times to see if maybe i was going nuts. Im glad you agreed also. I feel a little better now.
