1) My precinct was changed again.

2) My polling place was changed. I had the option to go to two other places. I of course chose the wrong site first.

3) There were 3 precincts voting at my particular polling place. The first never had a line. The second had a line that ranged from no wait up to about 12 minutes. The third (mine of course) had a line over an hour long. I don't even know why I bothered to see which line I should get in. I knew it was going to be the long one

4) Turnout seemed to be huge to me.

5) Eddie Haskell, I voted for Ron Lewis (I mention this because I know you hold him in high esteem). Colonel Mike Weaver who is running against him called my house 6 times last week. That's too much. The last time was at 1230 on Sunday (that call was from a campaigner named Monesha) when we were eating Sunday dinner. His daughter also called along with several pre-recorded messages from him. I asked Monesha if the Weaver campaign was taking a page out of the Bet Royal sportsbook, but she didn't understand.

let me add this. At each station, there was a new computerized voting machine. I didn't get to use one just by luck of the draw. There was an older lady using one for over 10 minutes. I'm not sure if she was just dumb or technology challenged. I do know she sure caused the line to even move slower. I cast my votes and hit the green button in less than 15 seconds. Not sure why people can't vote faster?? :nono: How hard is it??

All of the news outlets are reporting some issues with the electronic stuff. I voted last week on an early ballot. Didn't even know we could do that, but both parties sent me an early ballot application that I pretty much just had to make sure my address was right and sign, and got my ballot a few days later. Very nice and easy.

Even though the douchebag is sure to win, it felt good to be able to vote against Frist's brother-in-arms in the anti-internet gambling crusade, John Kyl.

Charges are starting some of those folks standing playing stupid in front of machines. Well there doing it to help slow folks down. There hope others won't wait. Low turn out helps who? Well this year it would be those on the right. Calls sending folks to wrong places are also happening in Virgina. They have FBI on it already and it's coming from the right.
When I went today I was number 506 out of 1600 that can vote there. I went at 9 am. We are having a nice turn out. We also had some folks there ready to help anyone with questions beside the reg poll workers. No standing in front of a machine 10 minuets here.

Got all the computer gadgets going here in Hicag, but the wonderful older cookie making lady (probably half DJV's age, lol) took my ballet with a BIG SMILE and told me the original reading machine they had was the wrong one, and the second one didn't work. They sent it out TODAY to get it fixed. Meanwhile the extremely nice wonderful older cookie making lady told me with a BIG SMILE she was taking my ballet to some cabinet for now, and if the machine thing didn't work out, they would just send them in later and it'll all work out great. OH BOY, I LOVE CHICAGO! They'll be coming across my ballet in 20 years when the scandal hits the fan and President Obama will promise to clear up all voting irregularities in his 6th term.

I thought you were telling a nice story about dancing with some sweet old lady until I finally figured out you've been trying to say "BALLOT". Or is that how they spell it in Hicag?

it went smoothly here, voted at the fire station, there were about 15 people in line ahead of me, there were only 3 of the new electronic machines in the voting room, the line moved quickly, it took me all of about 30 seconds to place my votes and i was out of there.

At my electronic voting machine, after hitting "confirm" I was told to hit the "vote" button two times.

Anyone else have to do this?

There was a bigger turnout than i usually notice. They use the old lever machines here in the bronx.
it took exactly 20 seconds.

Hey Intense Op, i'm sorry for barking the other day. My apology please.
