Funny thing is if they showed up to play ,and had any of us rather than Les Miles on the sideline, I think LSU could beat all of them....

Yeah, I hate that Florida won a game they shouldn't have. Notre Dame could have possibly controlled their own destiny.

As it is, Arkansas will probably jump them and the winner of Ark/FLA game will play for nat'l title.

So once again, the system doesn't make sense. Not bitching, b/c the system makes no sense at all. But, how can Notre Dame win convincingly, and be jumped?

What can teams do? No one controls their own destiny, so it sucks.

Rutgers is unbeaten? What can they do? Play a tougher schedule? What if their "tougher" schedule loses a bunch of games? Its no longer a tough schedule...

It sucks that no one can control their destiny. I hate the BCS. I hate to see assholes make money when they do their job so poorly.

Arky will lose to LSU...

The gist of the math is regardless if USC wins out they are in unless Mich/OSU loser is only dropped to 3....

even if arky wins out, how do they jump them usc if they win out? no shot, unless the pollsters forget about the half a hundred they dropped on them, regardless if arky is a better team now then they were then

No way Texas belongs on that list.
McCoy doesn't play defense and most of those teams would pass all over them. The Horns have been escaping and escaping and it finally caught up to them.
They are not a top ten team.

touchdown jesus was talking about teams controlling their own destiny and said that the arky/fla winner would be playing for the title......i simply used your quote as a reference to USC and said that arky will not jump USC, since USC hung half a hundred on them in their field, regardless if arky is a better team then they were in the season opener....unless the pollsters magically forget that.........thats if both of them win out, which i think is a moot point b/c i dont think they do.....

usc 2 losses
arky 2 losses
nd 2 losses
3 big east teams with one loss
and fla, they are bound to slip somewhere

Its going to be really interesting, and probably really unfair to a lot of teams no matter what. So what else is new...

I'll add this. Lets say ND is 5th this week. Michigan loses to Ohio State. Does Notre Dame go ahead of Michigan? In some ways, they should. A team loses, they drop.
But Mich. beat the hell out of ND. So they shouldn't...

It goes back to 1993. Notre Dame beat FSU fairly handily. Up 14 with under a minute and FSU scores very late to lose by 7. Notre Dame's perfect season ends on a last sec. FG by BC and FSU gets to play for title.

Overall, I'm just hoping that Michigan/OhioSt is in essence a playoff game. I don't want to see the loser of that game involved in the Fiesta Bowl.

But it would be really crappy to see a 1-loss ND team be ranked ahead of a 1-loss Michigan team when Michigan destroyed them.

On that note, who should I pull for next week? I wish Mich. was #1 and OhioSt was #2. If OhioSt loses, will they drop down to 5th?

What a chitty way to decide the greatest sport in the history of the world.... :(
