As the silver medalist to Kosar in the least liked poster contest in the political forum, I got kinda misty eyed and nostalgic. I want to thank all those who voted for me and hope next time to take home honors as the least liked poster on this board. Congratulations Matt.

Considering the right wing rabble and 19th century draconian views that are generally posted here, I am honored and privileged to finish second. As evidence of the correctness and rightousness of my consistent position at this forum, I went back in time to the beginning of this terrorist invasion of Iraq by the Bush administration to see how the traitorous Matt and Eddie turned into Darth Vadar.

A post started in the General Discussion Forum by Aldabra on March 2, 2003 called "Probable cost of war 90 Billion". This was right around the time of the unprovoked invasion of Iraq by our fearless leader. I'm not a real computer savy guy so in case this link doesn't work, I guess you can copy and paste it to your browser or go back to about page 420 or so of the general discussion forum to find it. Pops, you gotta remember - for everyone you enrage, you probably make a quiet ally. For everyone that hates you, there might be someone who loves you.

Kosar is a centrist - nobody likes a centrist. He can't ever be truly counted on to follow a party line or policy. He's too caught up in his own prideful independence and thinks he knows more than the elephant, donkey, swastika, hammer, or sickle. He put himself in a lonely place and this is what he gets.

Wow, i've been spewing this same nonsense for 3 1/2 years, since before the invasion? How time flies. Seems like just yesterday.

On that note, can you (or anybody else) present a viable prediction for the end-game of this thing. I mean, once the main fighting is done and our troops now control the country. Now what? What is our exit strategy? Even the administration isn't really trying to present anything about *that* part of it. There are only offering vague references to setting up a democracy and that we'll only be there 'as long as necessary and not a second longer'. Ummm, gee, great plan and thanks for the explanation.

I believe that if we have such specific intelligence on Saddam and his weapons, then we could systematically destroy them without reproach from anybody. And any plaintive wails in the distance coming from some country like France could simply be ignored. The problem with this approach is that we really don't *have* any specific information, so we need to take over the country to see for ourselves. Those bumbling inspectors surely didn't find anything, so let's go take a look. Right?

I really don't think this situation requires a full-blown invasion and occupation that will certainly cost us hundreds of billions, if not trillions of dollars, some amount of lives on our side and tons of Iraqi civilian lives-the same folks we are 'liberating' , it will inflame even more hatred for the US leading to even more terrorist attacks and will destabilize an entire region for many years to come.

What exactly is in this for us?

Now don't get mad at me. As I sit here at work at my computer at 5th and Walnut which is 3 blocks north and 6 blocks east of PBS, the temperature is 69 degrees (no kidding) and the sky is very cloudy. Looks like rain. The weather is suppose to turn real nasty but not until after the game is over.

Temperatures will remain warm through the game, could be some rain, winds should not be a factor. Crowd will be into the game. Bengals need this one for any hope of wild card and their offense has been clicking lately. I will check the local radar to see when the rain is suppose to move in and get back to you in a few minutes in this thread.

Also if your planning on putting a ton on this game, I will also provide a link to the local GA chapter.

i don't worry about forecasts of how the real estate market will be...because i only intend to sell one house within 18 months....& that will be to the tenants who live there now & since they have lived in the house for about 8 years i plan to sell it to them below market price anyway....they get a discount because they have taken care of it very well.

i have only been here a couple of months so i feel my third showing is a very strong third. You guys have had years to build hatred. Ed i appreciate you liking me because i lost my third friend in Smurph earlier in the week. So now im back up to three and if smurph will take back calling me Bush jr i can get up to 4. He won't tho he has to much pride. He is the left wing version of DTB.

i very rarely put alot of money on a game...my method of betting is nice & easy...one step at a time....& i already took under 45 for the game....but i may play for a middle....
