Michigan had its chance to beat Ohio St.(would be a great game if they did play)
But Florida should have a shot.

I realize that college presidents don't care about money, but how much money would this make?

Sugar Bowl

Florida vs. Michigan

Orange Bowl

Ohio State vs. whoever.

Fiesta Bowl

Winner takes it all.

It may be more interesting than OU vs Boise State.

Nice call today Fla. After I saw your post, i hit up the Gators hard. Tough game to watch with all the big plays but it was definately exciting.

They are so taletned on both sides of the ball... but damn Chris Leak is so shaky! I hold my breath everytime he drops back.

Do you think Tebow can run the offense? I haven't seen his passing game.

Florida, the only decent team Michigan beat all year was Notre Dame.

:mj07:

Michigan beat Wisconsin - which is well ahead of the domers in the BCS.....

So, you could argue that the only quality team they beat was Wisconsin - but Notre Dame?

I agree.. .take the top 8 teams in the BCS - seed them and play 3 week of playoffs, using the current bowl games. Each bowl game would have much more meaning that it does now, as the winner would move on...

I would rather see Fla play OSU than Mich. Just because we have all seen OSU/Mich play. But I dont think either team has a case that is better than the other one.

I just hate to see all the bickering going on in this forum between big10/SEC. Fla had a great season, as did Mich. No need for name calling or putting DOWN either of these programs.

Just my .02

And that Wisconsin team would have two losses if they didn't luck out and not have the Buckeyes on the schedule this year. Give me a break.

They would have more than that if they didnt play Buffalo, Bowling Green, Western Illinois, and San Diego State for non conference games :mj07:

WHOA... didn't FLA luck out too? I'm sure they didn't play EVERY team in the conference this year?

And, as we've seen, most of the teams are pretty equal in the SEC.. heck, South Carolina should have beaten FLA AT FLA.....

So, I'm guessing FLA lucked out by ducking some SEC teams also....

That's just the way the schedule goes. Actually, as a Wisconsin fan, I would have preferred that we played Ohio State this year - obviously in Madison, since the Michigan game was on the road.

Yes, we probably wouldn't have won, but if we did, we'd be in the NC game. Now, we never will know how good they were (other than a high BCS ranking) because they won't even get a BCS game to find out, due to a very stupid BCS rule.

I'm watching a local feed of the UF celebration now. It's sad. FOX will tell me tomorrow if they get it. No clue now if UF could beat Michigan or Ohio State. I'll take the points (3-7 in either case).

Too damn bad that we won't find out.

Fla won their conference, and deserves a shot. Michigan finished 2nd in their conference. Everyone says how well UM played against OSU...who's to say Fla wouldn't do the same. Interesting note if it did happen...the 2005 NCAA BB champs, playing for the 2006 NCAA FB National Championship....and OSU could pull the reverse if Ogen comes around (wrong forum).

Congrats to Fla....and Urban Meyer...former MAC man...

Being an OSU fan..this Fla team reminds me a lot of the 2002 OSU team by the way they hang in games..Fla has a little more O and OSU had more D, but still they won very similarly.

Can there be a tie in the BCS...then what?

Send Florida, no question. If not Urban is right, they need to stop the madness which is the BCS.

Michigan is better than Florida, plus we want Urban Meyer pissed off about not making it to the championship game to get this BCS BS gone and have a real playoff system.
