I live in So Cal so I leave my lights hanging outside
year round. Because I live in Simi Valley, the Santa
Ana winds can break a few. So when I fire them
back up, sections don't work till I troubleshoot
and find the broken ones. I've got a 6 ft section
that will not under any circumstances cooperate
and in fact is laughing in my face and I'll be damn
if I'm going to let that bitch win. Would be easy
to just put in a new section and go on. BUT NO.
Christmas lights are kicking my ass right now, but
I WILL WIN THIS BATTLE :142smilie :142smilie

Sunday morning was the worst i've felt in forever. went to the gas station and opened my door only to have the fcking wind whip it right out of my hand and into the cement divider and mangle my door. it was like a tornado. fcking wind.

Go to Jacks Christmas tree thread :mj07: :mj07:

BDB, Simi is right next to Moorpark, and all weekend long I could see Moorpark going up in
smoke, the winds were huricane force, FD never
had a chance, many homes were lost, I know
you saw it on the news.

Scremin, my son was helping me with the lights,
I was trying to teach him, if something is broke,
fix it. Afraid I tought him a few bad words instead.

my wife bought several LED Christmas lights this year. They are more expensive, but they are way cheaper to use, and I think they last longer.
