As another stranded Denver resident, who probably will not make it to see the family this christmas, or the grandkids see their cousins and grandparents, dont find you making light of our weather problems that funny, but hey maybe I"ll watch that Katrina footage and laugh at your problems to brighten my day.

wow. merry christmas.

katrina vs. a snowstorm.

hmmm.
snow melts. houses and lives dont magically reappear.

being in the snowbelt, i know what its like to be snowed in and disconnected from people and family for awhile. it sucks.

... but it aint katrina

or Rita!

or Rita!

My parents are still recovering (financially) from Rita. We (US gov't) spend 2 billion dollars a week in Iraq, yet my parents, who have paid taxes all their lives, got shit for help from the Bush administration.

We are all affected, my daughter was to fly out
today from OKC to LAX, I was to pick her up at
5:42 this evening. She called ahead to check
flight status and was told the flight was cancelled.
Couldn't get thru to United by phone so is at
airport now trying to find out when she can get
here. Bad timing by Mother Nature.

I'd say your parents are out of luck--considering 5 minutes after posting this tear jerker you were inquiring about reloading for bowls--Did you ever consider they spent their lives raising their son and what is more important--helping them or betting on bowls-- Nah thats the govs job right?

Reloading for Bowl Games

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Been out of the loop in terms of the new law on internet gambling... Took most of my money out a couple of months ago. Is it okay to deposit into offshore accounts again? and by which method? I have always used Netteller.

Thanks for any advice

Dogs That Bark, good one! Haha!

Point was Rita victims were hit just as hard as Katrina's. I help my parents out plenty. Thank you. As for internet "gambling"... that all depends on one's perspective. I am one of a very few who see it as an investment opportunity.

Good day.

I obviously overreacted and edited my post right away, Im sorry I compared a snow storm to Katrina, however I had just spend 4 hours shoveling and hadnt reached the street, and I also just told the kids that they probably wouldnt be seeing Grandpa and Grandma and obviously tears were flowing and my emotions were high, I was able to hire someone to plow my street and my driveway and get us out to roll tomorrow. Still need to make it across NEbraska but at least we have a shot, once again Im sorry for the Katrina blast, was a little on edge. Happy HOlidays everyone.

Picking her up at LAX tomorrow at 3:32, 46 hour
delay, and we are extremely lucky. There are
people stuck in airports all over the country for
days because of that blizzard. Hope you made it
home HH. :toast:
